That's 10 to 50k microPremines Faucet is all good to go. Rewards suck atm, site needs a nice theme, open to suggestions on the timing/rewards. There's currently only 10 PMC in balance, you can deposit directly there on 1PFZDyfixDkzLof2iNzfLW2SF2Tnb15Mz7 and you can tip me for my efforts on 1DrxMts1ywGM9Ufhgi1FmnX8hmoA3JajrV http://faucet.premineco.in/Have fun! 10k to 50k rewards? Yep 20k microPremines per transaction. I know numbers are not ideal, any input would be much appreciated. I've just tested it out, seems to be working. Could you include a minimal transaction fee into each faucet payout? That would help the network a bit already.
10k is 0.01 50k is 0.05

Ok, but that's not what it says Maybe you should put the micro sign in front. Also I think it would be nice to link back to this thread. And put the faucet donation address on the page!

I will also donate to anyone else who supports the network right now. I would need proof that you're on the network and that you've been hashing long enough to help move some blocks, but I am willing to give PMC to those that can point their hashpower at PMC.
Call it compensation for the low block rewards.
If there is a save way to do so i will donate more. A way to support the miners would if we send coins with a high fee between our adresses. Any other idea? Use block explorer and send some coins to all miners who mined past blocks but received no coins at all. Start with blocks after 9249 since it is then when generation of coins stopped. http://cryptexplorer.com/chain/Premine?hi=9255&count=20Great idea! I'll get to it later. Is there a way to send payments to multiple addresses at once? I can write a script to harvest addresses from the block explorer then send them all payment in bulk. I would make the script freely available to others so they can send payments to miners who get 0 block rewards. This could work in the short term until the new wallet is out. The wallet has a 'sendmany' function in the console. If you could make your script output in the correct format, this could be a great way to solve the current issues! Please tell me the sendmany format and I can write a script output that you could paste in as a command. Also limit me know if there is a limit to how many you can send at once so I can split it the output if needed.

Edited the theme to say micropremine. Would prefer someone with xhtml/css3 skills to do a nice clean theme. I will also donate to anyone else who supports the network right now. Very straight forward. Only time will be writing the address scraper. Been a while since I wrote regular expressions, but I'll pick it up again.

I tried mining using my 8GH Jalapeno. I mined 13 blocks so far, all of them worth exactly 0. I wasn't expecting high profit, I just wanted to help the network.
What is the problem? People hoarding and no transactions? Or users setting fees to 0? Or am I doing something wrong?
Here are the IDs of the found blocks 2418d8a76c897eb480a87083dbd65679620ef5e4951a91e615a882c635749946-000 525f43b2596fbacffc89dc2ff5d059eeec51bdd1ce0971b3b1afe85eb795eb22-000 8bbeba082d2246f00015b5d424c779047dae0e8df83e72a9efa5d3eb127f230f-000 2bb5f7a9c5f02eefd1e3d37fd6a96d3c05e194146d9078f827c1e06cc65f4c05-000 70d5afaf0de7a67463a852aed92e3115a84ad1007b9b2c91f0b5c3ba9d3d4c78-000 bf192e8b7f317cb716d13769cdb07b496c9a98877460ecf35423c37b96118471-000 45b00d4784f503ea4afeb5460af55b80abf78fa0ea1200dcbe47ca5666f04a19-000 ab4e0c7a4233eb124bbb1687ad51cbd08a0b8f96558aa029846c6fa1d08e3be8-000 2a67c0983842592351faf5bdfe69f6d8ab68b3c9a26811f4eba50f57d652abb6-000 5ff8720aa9b2e127682c65aa2b4ec009064c581652fa216682981078cd148195-000 4672e87325bf985848dc1365eb04537f14e3ebadc5828c1f1e37a474d6acee61-000 11fedfec61bc13f3dd69aff1586163044e95159e6b00f230bb410b396c00e162-000 2a6bfd90a5ff73cafce6cb99c515cb98274f2ba3ae2a78f0767ceefa49ae6c38-000

- I think most clients still have fees set to 0. Please note that there will be a client update this week with a fixed minimum fee. The dev is working on that!
- The number of transaction might be still low

even if people aren't hoarding, we are still not enough people to make transactions for every block :S we need a bot that distributes like 1 coin as fee to every block

So much drama -
I packed up and went to bed last night with a headache - Sorry that I have not replied to messages. This morning I see exchanges popping up, faucets popping up, and best of all charities popping up. All of these things will help generate transactions, which will generate fees... at least to some extent. I'm going to address a few issues here in the thread, then take a step back for the day. I think I will instead work on the src code.
People are going to hoard, it's just a fact. A fact that cant be changed. If people perceive value they will scam, hoard, and even steal. That's life. Overcome it by not being part of it. People are going to complain. Generally for the same reasons stated above. Although some complaints will be legitimate. Again, carry on.
The hashrate is going to be unstable at first. People were warned at the top that there are NO BLOCK REWARDS. That's part of the experiment. As long as some asshat doesn't come along and run the difficulty through the roof, my team has more than enough power to keep the network moving, and step the difficulty back down. I am planning to force some kind of fee in the next wallet, but just how much is still unknown. Given the short supply, it's hard telling what the value could be. Making the min fee too high will cause just as many problems, people won't be too happy with western union style fees, they will prefer bitcoin to transfer, because it's cheap. ...shocker that's one of the reasons we all love bitcoin in the first place. Also, since 2 faucets were live when I woke up, and there is only one bounty, we will need to work that out. I don't really see that being a problem. Finally, have fun... don't stress and feed the drama machine. If you aren't enjoying yourself, and learning something you are just killing yourself over money. Dumb. In fact very dumb, since it isn't money at all. You can't buy a single thing that I am aware of with PMC.
I'll sign off with a shoutout to all of the people going the extra mile to keep things going. There are far too many to name, you all know who you are.
Drama, drama, drama....

Great idea!
When the new wallet is released the coin still needs a lot of transactions to fill every new (and maybe older blocks?) with fees. The free giveaways and manual spreading will never create all that number of transactions in my opinion. I'm just coming up with a hotfix until the coins are changing hands enough for there to be tx fees on the majority of mined blocks. I can't fix that. That's a distribution problem. All I can do is try and code a way to reward miners who are getting 0 block rewards now. Also, some context; this thread is about 4 days old, and has 93 pages. Make of that what you will.

One way out of the above mining-problem is to invest ( big stakeholders - its your turn!) real money and buy some cheap usb-miners. 2gh/s at 100$? BUT: I think the biggest problem will be the extreme high possibility of an massive 51%-attack (think it could be in that case -of lack of hashing power- an 91%-Attack ). What you "need" is only ONE PERSON with enough envy and distrust AND with a powerfull ASIC-Rig ... ... and in a bunch of minutes the blockchain is corrupt and the coin is going down. How will You prevent this?
Good luck

Good luck An arms race to holding the most hashpower? That could cause exactly what any coin tries to prevent.
