Is it risky to buy not top 100 crypto currencies?

Well, many people invest in tokens or coins in the hope of flying to the moon, but find themselves at a loss. I think it's worth investing in altcoins which are more reliable. Look at the top 40 altcoins.

Buying a top 20 coin isn't a guarantee for success either. Bitconnect was a top 20 coin even though we all know what happened with that. If you trust the team and the product then i'd say there's more upside to buying a coin outside the top 100 with the same amount of risk.

i prefer major altcoins for trades. they are more safe. but of course there are many altcoins and some of them are more profitable and cheaper comparing with the major altcoins i buy. but it is not easy to catch them.

Everything we do in the crypto currency market is by definition risky. You need to look at each case, study the prospects of the coin and, if possible, have an insider.

It is very risky indeed. First of all, the trading volume is small, hence if the price drops, there could be a substantial loss. The time to recover it would be huge. Nevertheless, it could be much more lucrative to play in that area as spread is bigger and you might get lucky to have picked the good tokens!
If you are willing to gamble just go for it!

Buy and holding top 100 crypto currencies have no risk in this year because the market still too new and most of currency are safe. But in next 2-3 years, holding the wrong coins can cause you lost all yours investment.

Holding any crypto currencies is always risky as future cannot be told but holding top 50 crypto currencies will be less risky as they will move up when the market come out of correction

yes, there's a truth about being at riskier side when buying non top 100 coins.  but the higher the risk, the higher the rewards.  just do some diversification on your funds.  just to be safe, buy some on top100, buy some on non-top100.

I think buying a coin that is not top 100 is very risky because not necessarily they can compete in the market with coins that already have a high volume and it can make us lose a lot of money I suggest to buy coins that already have many developments because of the opportunity to reach a very high price many

Yes . that is risky. But the profit is tremendous. I have bought altcoin not in the top 100 and kept it for a long time and very unexpected value it increased 10 times after a waiting period.

There is constant change in the market of crypto currencies. it would be better if a project is not in the top 100, if you plan to invest and you are not sure of its potential. it will be better to be in this shape.

Whether the digital currency you bought is from the top 100 or not, still, it's a risky one because its market value is volatile. But if you can buy a crypto that has a very high potential to grow in the future, then it is a bonus for you since there are lots of cryptos under the radar that skyrocketed and made it to the top 20.

Its quite risky to buy coins that are not in the top 100 but again, this is crypto and one can make his or her research and select a coin that has low marketcap with good team and great technology.

Most likely tokens under Top 100 have no value, its too risky. But if you are able to do your own research and understand something in ICO and market you can find good project from the beginning and may be few month later it will be in Top 30 already

I always advised to buy coins from top 50 list of crypto currencies of coinmarketcap as all those coins have highest liquidity and also huge peoples support. If you buy low ranked coins ,those coins have highest volatility and if market crash, you cannot find any buyer for them.

if you know well about the coin then you can investment on after 100 ranks coins but you should investigate about the project then you can invest because after 100 the ranks coins don't about when will price increasing and decreasing so investment depended by yours

It's riskier simply because they have low liquidity so there is the risk that you want to sell and noone will buy your coins...

Yes it is very risky , because the coins after the top 100 are mostly new coins or has very little so chances are, your money will be stuck for a long time or worst will be lost. Usually investor doesnt mind these coins so its also possible that the developer might drop the project and goodbye to your investment.
