because of the eth price is already gain more than 30% in signal week and so it is right time to invest in eth?

Why you didn't buy when eth was around $100? And now that it's increasing you're thinking to buy some and don't you think you're being FOMO?
I don't want to speculate the price as so nothing is certain but if you think this will be a good entry for you then go.

30% increase in a cryptocoin is nothing! It's not too late. Even more traditional investments like stocks... S&P500 had risen by 77% in the period between 2012-2016, if taking only the technical analysis in consideration, it'd be most logical that this would be the top. With 2016 having a nice 10% rise after flat year (2015) many would believe that this was a FOMO push in a 7 year bull market. But in 2017 the markets (S&P500) rose by 20% and 2018 gave another 10% before taking it all back in the last months... which thankfully is now almost completely recovered.

My point is... calling an investment to Ethereum or any other coin as "too late" or "FOMO" because it had 1 good week is too rushed! Cheesy

I am an Ethereum miner on a small scale 290Mh.  Before the fork I was getting .022 Eth/day, after the fork I am still getting .022 Eth/day.  I see no impact from the reward reduction.  I am guessing that the new protocol is easier to mine.

At .08/kilowatt I see no reason to discontinue mining as it remains profitable

Any thoughts?Huh?

I think we will see that Ethereum can reach 1k again. May be a new ath.
This year it will be for ethereum probably we might see break over ATH .
That's great, will be reaching at least $2,000 is already good, wondering what would be the price of BTC that time as it's possible
they will go rise together. Times like this is what the crowd likes, they are more optimistic now and I've seen a lot of bullish news including experts prediction.

Once we cross the $1 trillion mark, maybe everything is possible. It could go straight into several trillions and BTC and ETH would benefit a lot from that.

This is not an easy task to achieve this milestone it need contribution from institutional investors and more wider adoption from all around the world than it could keep this in the great direction to reach there. No doubt momentum of cryptocurrencies is getting more demand.

Maybe also some legislation that is in favor of cryptocurrencies especially long term. For now many potential investors are hesitant because of that, too.

same here.  On the surface, yes we have less rewards (3 -> 2) but the diff has dropped so right now it is looking like a wash

'Ethereum Constantinople thread': Is that serious? Someone just created a thread for this! Is it official or did someone independently create this? ETH already be called PoS?

Ohh you mean this?
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5115565.0

It's a scammer, with a newbie account that was created few hours ago. Don't fall for this.

They've copied MyEtherWallet's page and since this is Ethereum's fork, they're obviously hoping for people to visit their MEW and import their private key there! DON'T DO THAT!

What a hopeless scam, they didn't even try hard. I hope their thread gets removed ASAP.
I use a new wallet, why do not you like it?

So was the hard fork Constantinople successful? There is no new announcement about it but we already passed the designated block.

https://www.coindesk.com/ethereum-upgrades-as-hard-forks-constantinople-and-st-petersburg-activate-on-blockchain

Maybe you are following the other related websites to let know about the status of this upgrade it has been activated long time and now all transaction are moving forward on protocol.

As a result of hardfork Constantinople, the network was forked on block number #7280000. Constantinople is a completely new cryptocurrency with its blockchain. All ETH holders receive ETHC in a ratio of 1 to 1.

That is really serious matter so many people would lose their hear earned when they will take action because of their greediness. Mostly are lazy and always take action without making any research.

More probably prices will go up from here after long accumulation. These resistances turn into support within minutes when real players want to move any token up and this we have experienced over and over again. I don't think that price will drop from here to that level of $ 88. That buying opportunity under $100 for few people.

Not unlikely to see the $88 again ... at least not in the W-chart.
I wouldnt be suprised if we see a rise to $200 followed by a major drop again.

LOL, it will never happen again.
Ethereum is the second largest digital asset, and it will mature more over next few months and years.
There is no reason to see the ETH dive to $88.
In contrast, it is hard to say that ETH will set up its new all time high, because to hit that new all time high requires massive flow of capital.
Of course, it is the story of future, long future.
For now, let's enjoy the growth of Ethereum in medium run.

I don't want Eth to drop to $ 88, it really hurts.
Eth is still good and valuable even though it's still at the level of $ 136 and this will continue to grow to medium.
Growth that might look stable and will require a lot of support so supporting Eth is one of the things we have to do for the future of our assets and Eth.

Any news about the official day when Ethereum will entirely stop PoW phase and switch its network to PoS phase?
Constantinople upgrade was successfully, so it is time to enjoy the success and wait for coming PoS on Ethereum network later months.

You can't have successful hard fork with 2TB blockchain.

You got to be kidding me did the size of Ethereum blockchain data increase to more than 2TB after the fork?

No such news. Before ethereum switches to POS, there should be another update. Even the release date of this update is not accurate
