ETH is now used primarily for pump and dump speculation. But if ETH tokens are ever used for smart contracts fuel, people will prefer to use the same fuel that is x10 cheaper.

ETHf is not the same as the Bitcoin and will never be. ETHf is like XRP. Both have Central Banks Foundations that rule the coin. That is exactly the reason why banks like them. Banks will never pump a coin if they don't already own the Foundation that stands behind this coin!
