I agree that its maybe the time to move from ETH ... This is becoming a real mess... Each ICO, the ETH network is blocked and slow...
we should change the title of the thread..welcome to the begining of the end Smiley))

This looking most suitable title for this thread yesterday it was too much laggy and it was much to move the funds. I think so now it turning into it's end with heavy traffic projects.

The network tries to produce one block per 10 minutes. It does this by automatically adjusting how difficult it is to produce blocks.

It looks like with these massive ETH network congestions competitive platforms will have more opportunities.

Hi,

When I open my wallet inside Bittrex, I get this error

Im not sure what it means. And im slightly worried about my ETH coins.

It's currently very busy on the Ethereum network, because of the Status.im ICO.

So this Bittrex message look OK to me, I wouldn't worry.

The ETH wallet in bittrex is already working again.

Hopefully all this unpleasant situation with transactions will be over soon. I also have sent one ETH based token about 2 hours ago and it is still nowhere going. Once the main blockchain which is Etehreum will be fully functional it will be back to normal everything. I am aware of this but waiting when all this is happening.

Maybe ethereum can activate segwit.

Eth has to get on litecoins level.

LTC is behind ETH with lightyears.
Anyways I haven't experienced any problems. 2/2 transactions were successful and both arrived within 5 minutes.

Surely, if you really want to send a fast payment - you increase the fee on the transaction and it will get higher priority treatment.

Organisations using super-low transaction fees are always relying on low traffic periods to function.

So, when there is a busy period - they should pause processing of their transactions, rather than have 1,000 transactions cued up in their wallets waiting to be added to the blockchain.

Therefore, I think Bittrex made a good decision.

Eth goes down to 10%. Hopefully all issues will be solved by Eth dev team. I am not a tech guy but it seems ETH network was unable to handle the enormous traffic load of transactions. Correct me if I am wrong.
And regarding 10% price fall, it is nothing. Price will go certainly up. ETH is growing like cancer. ETH is future. Hope all difficulties will be solved soon.

Yes, the congestion is troublesome at times....but I think that people are missing the fact that as each of these ICO's come online they are adding value to the network.  However, I've been waiting for one of these huge ICO's to dump the ICO funds back onto the exchanges, temporarily crashing the price....<-----  Have my lowball orders in just waiting for a catch.

You don't need the network? For pump-and-dump coins like ETHf you only need ETHf account with an exchange!

Is the congestion caused by ICO?

Do you mean your money just disappeared?
I hope there is some way they will be auto returned to your sending account, no?
That's how it should work otherwise ETH price will drop tens of times.
