Manipulation in the encrypted money market has been taking place. I even believe that government departments, exchanges and large consortia are involved in manipulation. They are likely to walk FUD through social media or other media platforms.

possible because there are the presence of bigtime whales. It just sucks major cause they are actually contributing to the failure of bitcoin as currency. It all depends on fake orders, fake pumps and a lot of dumps, whales and cartels. This is not what we wanted. I hope that uS will take a good look into this.

Price manipulation is common even in stock trading and its hard to prove for price manipulation case specially in bitcoin trading considering it traded morethan 4billion $ daily and it needs more funds to be used just to manipulate price in a day. and for mt gox dumping their hold coin this may not good for short term but for long term this is good since more and moe imvestor can hold bitcoin thst being dump by the said company

I think price manipulation is part of a trade trick, big whales come and pump prices after prices soar, whales sell bitcoins and prices will fall back.
I think it would be better to see bitcoin crawling slowly than bitcoin soar and then falling, in the future bitcoin prices will be stable and everyone will be happy to use it because as you know the main purpose of making bitcoin is as a means of payment not as an investment tool.

Well it can happen. For those who owns a whole lot of bitcoin they can dump it all and results to bitcoin price going down. But mostly, fud is controlling bitcoin. Every news that comes out has an impact on the price. Most of the negative news affects price because people with weak hands sell out of panic. It's t typically normal things to happen that bitcoin will goes downward or decrease but in this situation some of us makes panic and felt afraid because they thinking that they can be suffer from losses that's why they do panic selling which is makes so much affection to Bitcoin movements. Price can be manipulated by the Media and the whales. Media can manipulate the price of Bitcoin by releasing some news that can manipulate or influence the decision making of traders or users. Whales have a direct influence on the price of Bitcoin due to the fact that they can buy or sell a huge amount of Bitcoin anytime they want. Buying will increase the price and selling will do the opposite. So yeah, Bitcoin price can be manipulated.
