Yes, if the criminals are heading around 3% to 5% of all the transactions I don't think that they are influencing really hard. In my opinion market is depending more on the law creation processes that are taking place in the government right now. |

I don't hear something about manipulating by criminals. I seen it can't be real because we are all in the same situation using bitcoin wallets and making a transaction. So it just a news, nothing else. Be patient and wait for a good price.

In my opinion all of this market consist from manipulations, like FUD, fake news, whales agenda, we all are just like a chess figures, but anyway I believe that we can take our profit from that. |

Nope the bitcoin market price is being dictated by the power of the investors around the world which changes the market price from time to time depeding on its demand. As we all know as the demand for bitcoin grows so does the market price that will follow. And technically it could be difficult to manipulate since it has a system that automatically do the update from time to time. Well manipulation could happen if a certain individual has a huge holdings that will surely make bitcoin to move.

Price manipulation often comes from the very wealthy, also known as whales. Whales manipulate the cryptocurrency market in their favour when they want.
Whales are people or possibly a group of people working together to hold a large percentage of that coin and can use this to their advantage to manipulate the price of a coin to the desired price.

Well price manipulation is very possible since bitcoin operate on demands and supply to determine it price whales can decide to invest heavily in bitcoin in other to influence the price and then cash out the gain making the market to become pump and dump ground, and I also read that there is now and agency that trace bitcoin transactions in order to monitor illegal movement of money.
Up till now we have seen downfalls and high jumps of the value and have been going forward with these situations. Now we are currently in this low market with a little improvement from yesterday as the value increased from 6k dollar to 6.3k dollar and then up to 6.5k dollar today morning we come up with this news. This is still a low market and we can shift with it if we look for big investments. |

Bitcoin market cap more than 100billions dollar and its need a large capital to manipulate the price. I dont know is there any manipulation but i think cryptocurrency market is fair market How about those whales are they not capable to manipulate the price? Yeah maybe some whales has the right amount of bitcoin that can change the price down and to add some bad news about crypto, the quick hands will follow to make a panic selling. |

price manipulation is common, and this is often done by those who have a lot of money and have data from bitcoin buyers by desperately placing lots of holder to sell their tokens and then buy as much bitcoin to reap huge profits when prices rise drastically
and this is a fact for old players in bitcoin
Price manipulation has been in the market for the long period of time. It has been done by the whales behind the names of the company which where not as known to everybody. Yet, in the crypto market trading we don't know or no one knows how do they have done such price manipulation in the trading market. I would not entertain such idea of price manipulation for as long as i am confident with my investment, then they can do every thing they want... |

Price manipulation is normal in the market of the cryptocurrencies because we can't deny that there are people who are wealthier than us, who have a lot of money compared to us so they are called as whales in the market which have the advantage in the market because of their money and the thing that we can do right now is to hold if we are stuck at a coin.
I agree with you. If you don't know how the market works, it will be very difficult for you to earn something using a long time in investing. Holding is the best way to get profit in the future. |

Yeah I think this is possible, they manipulate in price to dump or pump, Some BIG Whales can manipulate the price of altcoins. But my question is, is this legal? they have money to buy more altcoins. They are businessman, businessman need profit. No doubt in this. There are many pole and groups and organizations and even countries who are called whales. They are operating in a way that no one can trace them out. They are manipulating the prices every other day. Things are not that much under their control when we talk abbot bitcoin but yes they have got enough hold on the market. So yeah good luck to everyone, save yourself. |

although many people say there is a price manipulation I do not think there is a strong enough proof of what they assume. and in my opinion this is purely from market demand and if anything says about price manipulation maybe it's caused because there are some players who have big capital so they can buy bitcoin with a very large amount. so in my opinion this is purely out of market demand.
There is nothing like pity in the business world and in the market. Every one wants to earn the maximum and there is left no space for pity. You would never love to share your billion dollars with the people in the town. In the same way, those who hold huge stacks of Bitcoin can manipulate price for their own interest. This is of course one of the disadvantages for the users but it can be tackled only if the users follow the rules strictly and do not sell when the price falls. Some holding few thousand Bitcoin will not be able to affect the market with people holding millions of Bitcoin. |

To be honest, even though we have a huge market capital and user base, we still don't have the mass maturity which is required in the crypto industry. That's the reason why panic selling waves take place if the market. Big whales and institutional investors take the benefit of this situation and try to manipulate the price and pressurise a layman investor indirectly.

Price manipulation towards cryptocurrency is not possible because it was depending on the supply and demand but sometimes there are hackers who can actually change the prices in the market and it affects people's decisions, just like the alleged news were korea hack the live market price and take advantage of the moment. I have read that bitcoin's price was manipulated at late 2017 with USDT, I don't know should we trust information like that one but it is possible to manipulate every market not just crypto market. Bitcoin went to $20000 in very short time, and it crashed so fast so market is either manipulated or fomo investors created bubble. |

Bitcoin went to $20000 in very short time, and it crashed so fast so market is either manipulated or fomo investors created bubble. cryptos are always manipulated and it does not only happen on 2017 or any year because manipulation are always happening all the time . and like you said earlier , cryptos arent only the one that is being manipulated because almost all kind of investment there is always a manipulation involved . so the point is we cannot possibly avoid those manipulation but we can use it as an advantage in order to turn the tides lets say they manipulate the entire crypto to go down , so the best way to do is to buy at the dip . but if they manipulate the market in an opposite side, then the best thing that you can do is to sell in order to earn a profit . |

In my own opinion, there is no price manipulations in cryptocurrency but there are alleged hackers before in the news that cam from korea who is actually changing the live market price of bitcoins and take advantage of it. |
