hi ther guys a little help here... building a minig rig with 4 X 280X ...is a 1000w power supply enough or do i need 1200w??? do i hav to connect them in crossfire or with the VGA resistor hack method??? and last wat OS to use windows or Linux???

Hi,

1200 W is recommended .. better to be safe than sorry.

Cross-fire is not needed ... not sure by VGA resistor hack if your referring to dummy plugs.

Windows is fine unless your familiar with linux .. both give roughly the same performance.

latest amd drivers doesnt require vga resistor hack method.

You can buy seasonic 750w and 850w . Use add2psu cable to combine them.

i have ordered a r9 290x amd radeon and would like to know if i can use it on my intel core2duo e7300 @2.67ghz 32bit os, 4 gb ram n wat psu do i need?

The minimum power requirement should be mentioned somewhere on the card box/manual. And yes the other components are fine.

romiferns - a 650w psu will be good for the 290x. You can probably get away with a 550w, if you can find one. Get a good brand. Never skimp on the PSU.
