Yes it will. This will realize the coin's objective. This will be the starting point for the subsequent sponsorship projects. People will find this logic making sense. People will support a coin which is helping to plant trees or conserve nature. One media attention after sponsoring the project will help to market the coin and people getting interested. The crowd funding website will be the heart of the coin. But we should undertake one sponsorship at a time. Just my thoughts. sorry, i disagree.. since we cannot provide transparency with such low amounts. its a 100usd btw. also many ppl probably wouldnt want me to send the amount now. what if it goes up in 20 days.. 4-5 fold? we have had this discussion before btw... feels like repeating again. no offence. The plan which I suggested will help the coin to go above 5 or 6 satoshi in a week or two weeks. I did not understand what you meant in transparency. I am afraid if the price will ever rise again if we do not show the cause of the coin unless some big bag holder artificially pumping the coin. Rather than waiting for artificial increase, it might be a good idea to make realize the sponsorship and the price rise gradually. Maybe someone has got better idea. I can donate and will help to spread the word. there is much going on, projects wise... projects for adoption. ie the payment gateway will take small fees that go to foundation. multibit client. crowdfunding site. sponsorship will be realized. now is not right moment. |

Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

you must understand that writing a crowdfunding site cannot be done in a few days.
Also with respect to asking cryptsy to remove the coin:

There's less and less pressure on sell side. Problem is only that, there is almost no buying pressure. But projects, foundation, exposure.. will help people to recognize it's a great investment, with good intention and helping nature on the way.
Don't forget all altcoin's have price flattened (even coins that have great potential on long run, that show in the past that they are great, but value got eaten up). So no worry's, only good coins will be successful in a long run. LEAF is one of them. It will take some time (maybe months to recover), but LEAF has great potential and great future ahead.
It's jut not the time for people to invest in any of the alt right now. Quick pump and dump, or mine and quickly sell.

also, when we are accepted by these charity organisations ( those 100+ ) its no guarantee for a price increase.

a coin is dead when there is no active development going on.
so define "dead".
all you look at is price.
price is no indicator for a coin being dead or not.
this 100+ organisation acceptance cannot be done in one day.

Exactly. What I fail to understand with all those anxious people is the persistence with price. Ok then, suppose price goes up maybe even to 50 for a while, and you sell and make a profit. What then? Will that make you rich so that you will live without having to work for the rest of your lives? Do you actually believe that? Even with 100M leafs and the price at 50 satoshis, that will make you what, 50 bitcoins, so what? Even assuming you find a way to easily convert that to $/€/whatever, and not getting arrested for money laundering with current btc price that's *just* ~45k€. Sure, it will probably get you to pay some of your loans, maybe even buy you a decent car, but if you're in it for a one-off profit, you're in the wrong market. And it still is not sustainable. You can't do this or expect to do this with every coin, every time. Some people that already have hundreds/millions of $, already do this, but they can already manipulate the market to their needs and don't just wait for a price to go up, they make it go up. The only way for a coin to actually become successful, is for it to be embraced by developers and actually be used as currency (as I already said in a previous post). Price going up is just a sideeffect of that. |
