When I get answers to these questions I will decide will I invest or not. And please, after you read this and you go to leave a reply please remember that I am not here to bash all of this. I am also a potential investor but just very careful one. Many people missed the NXT boat, me too personally and now are jumping to anything just not to miss another boat. I don't wanna be greedy and in this way lose my hard earned money, that is why I am writing this and investigating. Let's face it, there is just a lot of scam out there.

Completely agree with zorke here. Ideally for me, I'd like to:

 1. See the whitepaper released.
 2. Have a precompiled binary to play around with testnet.
 3. Show some kind of proof or indication of he's qualifications. For example, any side projects he or his team have worked on in the past they wouldn't mind sharing(possibly on github or bitbucket)? Doesn't have to be crypto-related. Do they have a stackoverflow account where we can check their profile?

From what i understood, Annon is going to give the bitcoin to the dev once he started distributing the eXocoins to investors

My understanding is that mr exo_coin has agreed to use me as escrow as well. So i believe what will happen is that he will transfer the exo to me in batches and then i will in turn release the equivalent amount of bitcoins to him. This process will continue until all of the exo and all of the btc have been transferred.

I am just trying to recapitulate in short what's going on here so bear with me. I am in no way trying to bash this IPO, I am actually still thinking about investing since there is more than 12 hours left. I am just trying to be objective and realistic.

So we have 2 guys that started a new coin and they claim this will change a crypto scene. Pretty bold statements but so far so good. They claim there is a third guy as well with a new profile but OK he never showed up in this thread. Exo coin is a new member/new profile. He seems to lead the dance. Exokk is a second Dev who made his profile in the mid December just about the time I made my profile, so complete newbie. By looking the history of his posts yoou can see that he is a complete newbie since it is clear that he doesn't know a thing about crypto currencies. He had a wallet for every single bullshit coin and was leaving his addresses in giveaways for free coins. He was also into mining. OK, now I start not to like this, is it possible that one such guy will write or be a part of writing new code for coin that will be best in the world? Just to remind you the 3rd DEV never showed up.

I revealed the history of Exokk very early.  It was nearly dead till Anon posted it.
I sent my coin to Anon as I believe in him. But I'm still deeply worried about the potential trap.
Especially, I saw a lot of innocent sent their coins directly to the ipo address.
Anyway, we still need wait 24hr for the answer.

I think its funny how these new coins try to beat nxt distribution with all these mad ideas on how to keep it fair. But none of them succeed. Take nem for example sock puppet accs, exo has the same problem with the 1st level 2nd level 3rd level investments. Looks like nxt did alright.
Oh by the way im in on exo regardless of distribution this only matters to those that missed out learned this with nxt

Also one can question if this is gonna be a success for the investors at this rate. Let's suppose it's no scam but there is a coin coming, but maybe it fails on one of its features (no one even knows about now - but hey it's C++) or get's postponed from week to week (bitcoin going to $100 meanwhile - evil FUD sayings) there is a chance that the market will find a lower price than what was paid here at the IPO (50% Mining - this will attract some big guns dumping definitely) - or at least the possibilities don't clearly reflect on the risks one takes (especially if one pays directly)... just my "newbie" 2cts looking at all this crazy ongoings since last November :-). Of course I know you all took this into consideration :-).

Also a little worried now after reading the above posts. But hey life is full of risks you take em or you leave em. This guy might be a conman but heck hel have hell of a time shaking all these ppl off his tail.
I hands up sent 0.5btc straight to ipo not to annon so feel a little uncomfortable atm but i knew this was 0.5btc i could afford to lose. Which is what everyone here should be asking them selves before investing in anything at all.  Also i have spread my investments over a few ipo recently to diversify my portfolio so if one fails i can recover on others

The point is that nxt did the IPO already and maybe you should compare it to other already done or nearly complete IPOs better (Mastercoin, Counterparty? - but i didn't really study them) but not to some IPOs still ongoing and with no finishing-line in sight (NEM, emunie, Ethereum) because also the time after the IPO and the development of the market-price has to be taken into consideration.

Bitshares is also happening right now and it seems the found a way to make it happen in a "civilized way" somehow but only with the addition of Angelshares, Protoshares as a single mean of IPO was a fail because of the strain done by the centralized nature of the mining process but of course this is also the opinion of a (too) late comer in this regard   .

Gox and Bitcoin I hope it is legit, because all of cryptos are in crisis at the moment. But these are just some red lights flashing. I mean there are too many scams and greed trying to get our money out there and not too many new Satoshi's or BCNext's that are making amazing new coin everyday. And these guys are claiming this exactly.

Well I am still thinking what to do. I have less than 10 hours to decide. I am also waiting for Anon's opinion and answers to the questions that I made in my original post. In Anon I have a trust and this trust comes from NXT community.

I also forgot to state in my original post that a communication especially from Exo_coin was perfect. He had patience and answered all the questions, but we should keep in mind that these answers were merely promises. If we look at this perfect communication from a negative side one might say that he will get a nice reward for his patience and perfect communication, over $35,000 guaranteed as we speak, if this is a scam.

Once again, I am not saying that this is a scam. I am not a sort of person that will come here and yell with big red letters scam, scam. I am just trying to look at the situation objectively. But one thing is sure, we should trust no one in this Internet/Crypto world until this trust wasn't earned. And even then we are not sure, after all of this is just sort of gamble, even Bitcoin.

Nem has at least 1500 unique accounts and a strong community right from start. That's what success means. Sock puppet accounts have never been an issue to me.
Nxt IPO was fair in its own way and nem did not intend to be "fairer" than nxt. You can stop speculating on what nem trying to do because beating some other crypto in any aspect isn't one of them.

There will always be complainers.
Frankly, I'm amazed by the amount of activity that NEM generates. If you can get people *involved* with the coin instead of just having people hoarding them, that's a very good sign.

People looking for a "perfect" launch are searching for the mystical Land of Free Pie.
