It would be better to invest in the coin that already has potential to grow in the market like bitcoin and ethereum which you can trust for gaining profit rather than investing on any ICO because the risk is lessen when you put your money on something that already see the worth in the market.

I think that the best options are the large coins, that is, the top 5 or top 10 in marketcap. It is less likely for these to dip largely, so even if you loose (and you will loose sometimes being new on all this) you will be compensating and waiting with a solid porfolio for the good times. Use the money you can spare and HODL.
