Hey @everyone. The update has been completed and sentinel has been successfully enforced. Please check your IP against the explorer within the masternode tab found here: <https://explorer.manocoin.org/masternodes>.  Once there, type your IP in the search bar above the list of IP addresses to pull up full stats on your masternode. If you see "WATCHDOG_EXPIRED", please restart your node ASAP!  As you will not gain any rewards if you see watchdog expired from here on out. When you restart your node, you may see watchdog initially, but it will go to full enabled within an hour or so.

Good afternoon .  First off I want to express to everyone that we hear all of your feedback and concerns, we are taking all of it to heart to facilitate growth and evolve MANO. That being said, I have a few updates for you.

FIRST: We have addressed the "WATCHDOG_EXPIRED" error and have released a new wallet. This update is MANDATORY for all users.
The main updates are:
   - Sentinel Enforcement
   - Governance Setup
At 0:00 UTC on September 3rd, we will be enforcing sentinel watchdog for masternode payments. This means all nodes without sentinel installed and active will be truly offline. If you have your node with us at MANO.Host, your nodes will be updated for you. (https://github.com/MasternodeFoundation/MANOcoin/releases/tag/v1.1.0)
If you experience the wallet sync issues, go to TOOLS->DEBUG and type addnode 192.99.70.99 add

SECOND: As you all know, this week we will begin listing new coins on MANO.Host. Due to community requests, we chose two of our top requested coins (LPC and Mdex) to be amongst our first offerings. At this time I do not have hard list dates for all the coins we are preparing to list, although I will be posting weekly updates to keep the community informed on what is coming! Also a full redesign of MANO.Host is underway. From the home page, to every aspect of the UI, it is all currently being redesigned with all the feedback we received from our amazing community.

THIRD: Our Shared Masternodes are currently reaching the end of the closed alpha phase and we could not be more excited to release that into open beta for further testing. With everything completely automated and ran off our back end infrastructure, It makes for a seamless experience allowing for everyone to get involved with masternodes no matter what their holdings are.

product development of MANO is slow.  I do think they are working behind the scenes to put out products in the near future.   But the slow progression of adding coins and additional features, such as shared masternodes is not adding to the disgruntlement of MANO holders, as can be seen in the current price.   Im still holding on to my MANO as i see a bright future.  Just dont take too long guys......

How do I enable sentinel so I get rid of the WATCHDOG_EXPIRED message?

what I did:

cd /home/tradingdisaster/.mano/
git clone https://github.com/dashpay/sentinel.git
cd sentinel/

then edit mano.conf:

wait till "dashd not synced with network! Awaiting full sync before running Sentinel." is gone

then restart my hot wallet and restart the mn

However, WATCHDOG_EXPIRED still remains the status

What gives?


BTW: "venv/bin/python venv/bin/py.test ./test/" gives me the follwing:

[Errno 2] No such file or directory: '/home/tradingdisaster/.dashcore/dash.conf'
DashCore must be installed and configured, including JSONRPC access in dash.conf

But I thought editing the rpc-port would be enough?

Lots of large 1000 coin (masternode) sales. I also sold mine a while ago, because my masternode kept saying "watchdog expired". Very annoying and not worth my time constantly monitoring. I was using GIN to host my MN, so maybe its their problem, but either way, very annoying and likely others have had the same issue and just abandoned the hassle.

I suggest bi-weekly or monthly report for community.
Hope that the MANO team can see my thread and take it into deeply , carefully consideration.

MANO is exceptionally difficult to keep Masternodes runninf.  Not sure why.  Pool I mine on runs many many different masternodes (over 400) and the MANO nodes are the only ones that are a constant struggle.  They are about to remove them from the shared MN offerings actually.  I think this is a problem with MANO and not elsewhere.   Would like to see them resolve this issue asap
