Hello all =)
Im new to the crypto concept, the crypto currency concept, the mining concept.... I learnt what hashing was and the difference between gpu and cpu mining, how to scale profitability and where to find the tools to calculate things before i do them.
So now that I have that out of the way, you all now understand when i say Im new ... im pretty new... So I have some info for some and some questions for others....
I've been mining this coin for the last 3 to 4 weeks on and off ... mostly off up until few days ago where I have a card running for about 20/24 hours everyday... its been a learning curve in every aspect of this so I dont have a full days run to base solid stats on what my card can and cant do.
What I have noticed is that there is a spike of activity that ranges between $150 to $1100 24 volume, I could be way off the marker here but thursdays and fridays get a spike in volume and seems to settle by monday, but it could be my imagination, it could be trades in this airport parking company who is accepting maxcoin which is something I had read on the maxcoin project website, Im new everything I say here could be nothing more than a fragment of my imagination...
However..... And this is a big however.... which is why I registered to this forum, just to entertain this observation and hopefully get some feedback.
Somebody mentioned earlier Jubi....
The Chinese government has been making moves to suppress crypto currency for the better part of this year with some impressive moves and well to put it down simply the banned it... well according to jubi a few weeks ago trading was suspended not banned? I cant read jubi, but last time i used a translator i was directed to a trading screen for buy/sell maxcoin, translator didnt do a good job i couldnt read most if not all of page but it was a trading form.. As far as I understand trading prior to the suspension/ban there were people invested in this coin.
Will this coin resurrect? Im thinking this suspension will have some to do with its resurrection, up until june 2017 it shot to 0.21 USD and currently it bounces between $0.008 to $0.0011 USD
the best ive seen on yobit is 0.00000147 BTC that was before the bitcoin spike last few days...
Now Im currently mining solo, it works for me, ive tried the pools, once i got my head around the connection issues its pretty easy, but i think i like the solo mining for the moment, if you decide to try your hand at solo, use LP it helps...

Q1 - Only 8 nodes? does that mean only 8 rigs/pcs are hosting a maxcoin client in world?
Q2 - Not long ago the difficulty shot up over 300 times almost instantly and it stayed locked for over 24 hours prob close to 36 hours... Out of all the time ive spent watching diff rates go up and down this has been the highest by a long shot that ive ever seen it. It made me curious after so many hours that the diff rate was still so high so i kept at it, and even threw a second rig to the production line, almost rang a friend.... lol
But after the ordeal... would have been around 36 hours of 0 blocks..... I even checked with the pools.... no one had miners.... and the only maxcoin pool i know has miners... hadnt found a block either from same time as my last block. It was like network was frozen, then... at least 7 blocks where found all one after the other, out of the 7 or so 2 where greyed out and no maxcoin credit =(
I was wondering if anyone could explain the freeze like effect.
