what is the rpcport?  you do need it if you are trying to run multiple machines localy Just specify one yourself in the maxcoin.conf file.. it doesn't really matter which number you use... |

3. I can't trace what's going on..
- Launch task manager, if you see maxcoind at high cpu rates then you are mining... then go to your wallet/blockchain directory and open debug.log... you'll see the progress there...
Launch a new command window, same as you did for geting maxcoind to run. So now you have 2 open command windows, 1 with maxcoind blinking seeminly doing nothing other will be to navigate trough wallet My case C://users/myusername/downloads /maxcoind <insertcommand here> example : maxcoind getbalance
maxcoind listtransactions
maxcoind getmininginfo
maxcoind setgenerate
maxcoind etc etc

Here are the common mistakes everyone makes with this shit... 1. What is the rpc port?? - You don't need it... just run the daemon once... put the config file given to you where it created wallet and blockchain... Then run it once more now it won't complain about rpc user and rpc pass... 2. All is black screen... how can I mine this.. - When you start daemon it already starts mining... look at the config file... you'll see something like below in it. This tells the daemon to do the mining... 3. Any ATI GPU miner?
just nvidia right now.. not sure mines working though... Here you go. Was launched before the wallet even. https://github.com/Max-Coin/cgminerNo need to compile. The binary is there, just need to chmod +x cgminer to make it executable. |
