this is the ultimate scamcoin,

the devs knew what there were doing, they complicated it so much that they knew the majority of people will not get it going, so they can mine lots from the start.

fuck you maxcoin

No, I don't believe that. Why? because people are giving Maxcoin a bad name right now. This is moving people away from Maxcoin which means that the coins are becoming worthless if this keeps going on.
The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

Guys, I am new about mining. If someone help me, I will be happy. :-)

I do not know what I am doing right now but I think I have mined some coins.

Code:
2014-02-06 22:16:50 CreateNewBlock(): total size 1000
2014-02-06 22:16:50 Running MaxCoinMiner with 1 transactions in block (220 bytes)
2014-02-06 22:16:50 hashmeter      0 khash/s
2014-02-06 22:16:50 CreateNewBlock(): total size 1000
2014-02-06 22:16:50 Running MaxCoinMiner with 1 transactions in block (220 bytes)
2014-02-06 22:16:50 CreateNewBlock(): total size 1000
2014-02-06 22:16:50 Running MaxCoinMiner with 1 transactions in block (220 bytes)
2014-02-06 22:16:50 CreateNewBlock(): total size 1000
2014-02-06 22:16:50 Running MaxCoinMiner with 1 transactions in block (220 bytes)
2014-02-06 22:16:50 socket recv error 10054
2014-02-06 22:16:50 disconnecting node 137.116.204.146:8668
2014-02-06 22:16:51 trying connection 138.91.116.247:8668 lastseen=358812.5hrs
2014-02-06 22:16:51 connected 138.91.116.247:8668

Am I right? If I am right, I have questions for you:

1-) While I was mining, I changed my maxcoin.conf file a few times. (I changed username and password) Do something happens to my coins?

2-) How can I send my coins to websites which sell Maxcoin? Where are these coins located? Are they located in my laptop?

Sorry for bad english. I hope you understand it and help me.

Thanks in advance.

To the devs

Next time you try to release the coin follow this:
  • You will need lots of seed nodes (Due to hype)
  • Compile and test the wallets on various target systems (Different software / hardware configs)
  • Release WORKING qt wallets, principally on WIndows
  • Don't let it be instamined, some low reward blocks at start maybe?

Who wants to add more to the list?

Wallet is running well on DigitalOcean! Create a fresh Ubuntu 13.10-Droplet.
Get an account here: https://www.digitalocean.com/?refcode=dddca68d7f6d
Smallest Droplet ($5/month) is enough!

unzip Maxcoin-linux64.zip
chmod +x maxcoind
mkdir .maxcoin
mv example-maxcoin.conf .maxcoin/maxcoin.conf
    # change password inside!!!
.maxcoind -daemon

These commands confuse me. Must these be done in Linux?

the devs using their GPUs, they know there are a Cgminer exist that support GPUs to mine SHA-3, and I have it and I did test it
your CPU do 300-600 kh/s, but with this CGminer you will do 84MH/s!! 200 times more hashing power than a single cpu, this explain how the coin difficulty did skyrocket, those people are scammers

I would hope they are, considering the source code for it has been up on github for over 4 hours, well before the launch time.

and rightly so, this coin deserves to be DEAD!

they fucked us over since the launch yesterday, then they cannot even release a working windows qt, i mean for fuck sake what sort of moron are you that you dont see how those 2 kiddie developers pulled off the ultimate scamcoin ever

Is anyone getting blocks with the cgminer they released? I keep getting rejected blocks. Wondering if I have to force the algorithm to keccak somewhere... but can't seem to find the option.

what cgminer?

You need to run it with --keccak. But then it'll do nothing.

Here's the github: https://github.com/Max-Coin/cgminer

I would have to agree.  Avid follower myself and have been for a long time but this release from start to finish has been an abortion.  Complete lack of planning, understanding of the customer/user and with zero risk and contingency planning.

It is not as though he is poor.  I believe he holds close to a metric ton in gold, 5 figure bitcoins and god only knows how much silver.

I would be ashamed to have my name associated with this launch.

All joking aside, I'm pretty disappointed. Had such high hopes for this. Been a long time viewer of Keiser Report and thought Max would have his shit together.  Huh

Yeah , really disapointing  !
I am shocked because ppl don't realise. They don't see the trick !

Is that for real? It says officially that as of now we can only do CPU mining. How can you possibly already use your GPU?
