3. I can't trace what's going on..
- Launch task manager, if you see maxcoind at high cpu rates then you are mining... then go to your wallet/blockchain directory and open debug.log... you'll see the progress there...

Launch a new command window, same as you did for geting maxcoind to run.
So now you have 2 open command windows, 1 with maxcoind blinking seeminly doing nothing other will be to navigate trough wallet

My case

C://users/myusername/downloads /maxcoind  <insertcommand here>
example :
Code:
maxcoind getbalance
maxcoind listtransactions
maxcoind getmininginfo
maxcoind setgenerate
maxcoind etc etc

[/quote]

Yes that's better... given I was not able to issue listtransactions on the rpc client I posted... now I see 2 of the blocks I mined just got orphaned...  And that's the end for me mining this shitcoin... back to decent coins like ultracoin which came with it's own cgminer...

Is it so hard to release a freaking compiled windows wallet?

beyond me mate, cant believe they made the launch so complicated gave little time for the newbies like me trying to work out what the f*cks going on.

worst launch ive been involved with.

Isn't it strange difficulty is so high on launch with only cpu miners... and a "broken" cgminer in github??

what did you say?

Config settings? Getting only 10% that on a 670.

What is it?How with this fight?

C:\Users\RR\Desktop\Hoвaя folder (5)>maxcoind.exe
Error: " To use maxcoind, you must set a rpcpassword in the configuration file:
C:\Users\RR\AppData\Roaming\MaxCoin\maxcoin.conf
It is recommended you use the following random password:
rpcuser=maxcoinrpc
rpcpassword=9jbeRzyvP7kyBzQ7dDRtLJkWKbaGCS6Wam2zwxgm86gd
(you do not need to remember this password)
The username and password MUST NOT be the same.
If the file does not exist, create it with owner-readable-only file permissions.

It is also recommended to set alertnotify so you are notified of problems;
for example: alertnotify=echo %s | mail-s "MaxCoin Alert" admin@foo.com

C:\Users\RR\Desktop\Hoвaя folder (5)>pause
Press any key to continue . . .

Go to %APPDATA%\MaxCoin\maxcoin.conf
Update this file so that it matches this https://github.com/Max-Coin/clients/blob/master/example-maxcoin.conf file, with the username and password set to whatever you want.

Open the terminal (Windows key + R, type cmd) and traverse to the directory that the .exe file is stored in (type cd *directoryname*)

Type maxcoind.exe --daemon

And the miner will begin mining, keep an eye on the %APPDATA%\MaxCoin\debug.log. This will let you know the status of miner.

Anyone have a screen shot of the debug.log file they can share so a noobe without the skills of the devs can see if this maxcoind.exe is actually doing anything worthwhile? What are we looking for in the log file?

MaxCoin will have a zero % premine, proven by the timestamps of the first blocks in a block explorer, and we have attempted to combat low-difficulty instamining with a fast retarget rate up until block 200. At block 200 the Kimoto Gravity Well implementation will take over the retargeting.
Let's look at Kimoto Smiley

Are you running that with the --keccak option? I can run it with --scrypt but not keccak.
I'm on linux btw and compiled cgminer with --enable-keccak and --enable-scrypt but it hangs when I run keccak.

Did you compile the source?
