Go to %APPDATA%\MaxCoin\maxcoin.conf
Update this file so that it matches this https://github.com/Max-Coin/clients/blob/master/example-maxcoin.conf file, with the username and password set to whatever you want.

Open the terminal (Windows key + R, type cmd) and traverse to the directory that the .exe file is stored in (type cd *directoryname*)

Type maxcoind.exe --daemon

And the miner will begin mining, keep an eye on the %APPDATA%\MaxCoin\debug.log. This will let you know the status of miner.

doesnt work, same problem, it says that i have to set a password, dont know why this programm wont work.

MaxCoin will have a zero % premine, proven by the timestamps of the first blocks in a block explorer, and we have attempted to combat low-difficulty instamining with a fast retarget rate up until block 200. At block 200 the Kimoto Gravity Well implementation will take over the retargeting.
Let's look at Kimoto Smiley

I'm done with this shitcoin, they royally fucked windows/AMD users. Fuck Max Keiser and fuck his bullshit coin. I don't care if its worth 10x what BTC is worth, I'll never accept it or use it because of this bullshit.

You must create maxcoin.conf in Users/XXX/AppData/Roaming/Maxcoin

Isn't it strange difficulty is so high on launch with only cpu miners... and a "broken" cgminer in github??

what did you say?

Are you running that with the --keccak option? I can run it with --scrypt but not keccak.
I'm on linux btw and compiled cgminer with --enable-keccak and --enable-scrypt but it hangs when I run keccak.

Did you compile the source?

i downloaded newly released cudaminer that Christian compiled for windows Smiley

and did this: link

Anyone mining on a 670 want to post their cudaminer settings?

this is my .bat

cudaminer.exe --algo=keccak -d 0 -l F1024x16 -L 128 -i 0 -o http://127.0.0.1:5252 -O u:p
pause

Anyone have a screen shot of the debug.log file they can share so a noobe without the skills of the devs can see if this maxcoind.exe is actually doing anything worthwhile? What are we looking for in the log file?

http://s10.postimg.org/43088xgzc/log.jpg

Thanks, I am going to try the new node they posted and see if that helps.
