ALL OF YOU,PAY ATTENTION
I am surprised that so many senior members who would not know a coin named ECOIN  released
Forgive my poor technique, but I think this is the same algorithm

Wow so that means we can mine with GPU.  Wink

There is a Keccak version of cgminer, but it is not producing any shares on maxcoinmine.com for me.

That's nice but does that use the CPU or the GPU ?

I understood that cgminer could be configured many ways and not just for a GPU setup.

It's the Keccak version, my GPU's are finding blocks on another Keccak coin release. Not working on the testnet release apparently.
They're not testing keccak.  Huh They're testing with scrypt for some reason.

Ahh good news indeed. Maybe there is hope for GPU miners.

I would rather solo mine for 30 mins than have my rig stop because of someone trying to sort out their pool and get it working . Ultra coin had similar problems by which time it was all over.

No. Until we have the source, we won't know the tweaks needed to make it work. It's not just 'Oh, someone has a GPU miner with the same algorithm, it'll work instantly'.

If they don't have a miner available at launch, someone will create one. The question becomes when they release it in the wild. Smiley

WOW someone else who understands.

Well technically you could be able to mine it if the source is the same as say ECoin, but that is highly unlikely

Since when does mining come down to "fairness"?

If you are not willing to pay big bucks for a GPU mining rig, that's your loss.

Lmao. People make me laugh. "the most fair" lmao.

maxcoinmine.com is down at the moment.

They will release torrent files for the wallet and the miner, atleast that was said on their website before it went down.

Why would primecoin in particular go down in difficulty when this is launched?
