How come it's not 3.7.2? That was the last GPU version released.

Does anyone actually think they have a chance to get a decent amount of maxcoin? With the kimoto gravity well in place and the huge amount of attention this gets, we will see 1k diff in a matter of seconds?
with 1 highend cpu you will be lucky to get even 1 coin after a day of mining?

Q: So is it CPU only? Will I be able to use my Butterfly Labs ASIC when it arrives (... any day now...)? A: Using Keccak as a hashing function renders current Bitcoin ASICs and the upcoming Scrypt ASICs useless on the coin. GPU parallelization of Keccak is possible but currently does not exist for mining with our implementation of SHA-3.

No coins have been mined yet, anyone trying to sell you maxcoins before official launch is most likely trying to scam you..

No coins have been mined yet, anyone trying to sell you maxcoins before official launch is most likely trying to scam you.. Hopefully this cuda miner pops up tomorrow. Good thing I got my old GTX 560 ti OC still set up and ready to go! Some guy was saying he was getting 55Mh/s on his GTX 560. To put that in perspective, using the maxcoin cpuminer that was released today on a Digital Ocean cloud server, each CPU core was only getting around 600Kh/s in benchmark mode. You would need 91 CPU cores to match that one GTX 560

Yeah I seen the source. I mean the compiled binaries for Windows. Otherwise I'll have to install Linux and do it the old fashioned way!

I think it is safe to assume the price after the initial launch will be a little unreasonable... probably a great time for miners to sell though. Not sure, OP only mentioned coins-e who claimed exclusivity... probably better register on both and trade on whoever lists first! EDIT: probably going to be more liquidity on coins-e given the announcements of the devs.
