so this will be a gpu coin at launch?.
Q: So is it CPU only? Will I be able to use my Butterfly Labs ASIC when it arrives (... any day now...)? A: Using Keccak as a hashing function renders current Bitcoin ASICs and the upcoming Scrypt ASICs useless on the coin. GPU parallelization of Keccak is possible but currently does not exist for mining with our implementation of SHA-3. Dependencies: libcurl http://curl.haxx.se/libcurl/ jansson http://www.digip.org/jansson/i can download either gz or bz2 of each, does it matter which one i use. So what i've to do to mine that on windows with GPUs ? Your options are pretty limited right now, Cudaminer hopefully.

OK, let me get this straight: - This is coin is SHA-3 in order to be CPU minable only - It soon will, or already is, possible to mine with GPU anyway - No botnet protection Why not make it a Scrypt coin in the first place? Am I missing something?

I would love to buy some maxcoins too, but four or five forums have many clients talking about how they've been ripped off, can't get their money out, or their money disappears, and no help from support. If I type in google "coins-e and scam" there are so many pages, blogs, forums, who are against coins-e. Is there an alternative? Does Max Keiser know about this?

DO NOT USE THIS SCAM EXCHANGE - CHECK THE FORUMS TO INFORM YOURSELF ABOUT THE GUY WHO RUNS IT AND HOW MANY COINS HE HAS STOLEN FROM CUSTOMERS If its a scam why oh why are the devs giving this exchange exclusivity? I thought it was a bit better since new ownership....I guess we should tread carefully then. Will remove the link in my signature to be safe!

Ah, glad to see MCXNow back. So quick and smooth, the way it's supposed to be. It truly puts Cryptsy (& Coindup... ) to shame.

Will Copperlark miner works with Maxcoin ? Nope. Copperlark's and eCoin's specific Keccak implementations differ a great deal from MaxCoin. Until now there's the official maxcoin-cpuminer source as well as the nvidia CubaMiner (GPU) source available.
