I have seen some people sold their investment so early or hastily because their incomes are dependent on cryptocurrencies. Keep your day job despite reaching your financial goal in crypto, so you are not emotionally dependent on your crypto profits as a source of income. This way you won’t make emotional decisions about selling your crypto

A news from ABS-CBN, a Filipino Media and Entertainment Group.

MANILA - An investor who saw a 39,000-percent increase in his bitcoin investment warned on Monday that many cryptocurrency investment schemes right now are scams.

Emerson Fonseca, Philippine head of NEM Foundation, told ANC's Market Edge that since he started trading bitcoin 2 years ago, a lot of scams have cropped up because people don't understand cryptocurrencies.

What are your opinions?

Ofcourse you just need to know the background of the project that you are going to invest in because it is the most important thing. You should aware how that project will run.

Yes ofcourse this is true that people should know everything about thte cryprocurrency before they invest in it. There re many reason behind this question first of all the cryptocurrency is the alternative to the other real currency you cannot see it meaning it has no real existance like the real moey of any country. And there are many scammers and frauds in this business that you have to be more and more careful before you invest in any of the coins.

Because once you invest your money will be on risk if the company is real and the people are good then you will get reward if not then your investment is nothing but a scam and you will be scammed  Sad

You read and look for information but always do your own research. Because of manipulation, pump and dump, fraud, scam, hacking and stealing, are common here, and can sometimes lead people to financial loss.

Before investing in cryptocurrency, be realistic. You should know what type of crypto coins you are going to invest. Do some reserch. And double check if that investment is legit, because many scammers are wandering in the world of crypto. Be responsible because investing in crypto comes with a higher risk.

My opinion is that if you do not understand anything in cryptocurrencies, it's better not to engage in this kind of investment at all.
In traditional investment, there are risks of becoming victims of scammers. And traditional investment is more understandable. And cryptocurrency market is too complicated for beginners.
Now there are many services that help to understand cryptocurrency market. But this takes time and effort

Before you invest in crypto you should know that the price can make you happy for a few weeks or make you sad for a few months. The market is very volatile and the price changes a lot more often compare to the other type of market so it might turn you off or on depending on what you want in a market.

You need to know first is what type of crypto should you invest what is the goal of their project. You must check  the advantages and disadvantages of the crypto that you are investing.

The most important thing is not knowing when to buy or sell. There is one more thing that is fundamental to understanding cryptocurrency. Thus you will know that everything must be accompanied by risks, so you will know that investing with cryptocurrency is not just about profit, but also risk and loss. Do not worry, by learning the basics of cryptocurrency then we will find preventive measures to reduce these risk factors.

That's actually true seeing that the recent busts related to crypto investments are bosses of the NewG scams and other similar ponzi schemes. The people who fell victim in these scams are the ones who were lazy enough to blindly trust large sums of money on other people without doing background checks and checking sources. Most people nowadays are looking for quick and easy money, which, at most times lead them towards something that will take their money away instead of profiting. With the cryptomarket gaining a lot of attention due to the gains it offers, many scammers use the term in order to lure people who look for the same opportunity but don't know how to start.  If only people would take time to read before spending money on such, I don't think there would be people who'd fall for such tricks.

This is the main reason why a lot of Filipinos I know don't believe in bitcoin at all. They don't even bat an eye and show interest because it is only known as 'scam'. As a bitcoin user, we should observe first and check the background where you will be investing.

Overall, this is very true. Many people who have no concept of that what are the crypto currencies, are rushed to invest when they saw the big jump in the BTC price to $ 20K in December. They decided they could make a lot of money without any effort or knowledge. For this reason, many attempted of scam are appeared, some of which have been successful.  Undecided

For me, you need to know before investing in cryptocurrency is to know if your country or state has an exchanger of what crypto you choose and after that create your wallet and make sure that you follow their security purposes. The second thing is to have to know about cryptocurrency and what crypto you want. We all know that you need to know that essential before investing right because spending some money on a thing that you don’t even know is a stupid move. After gathering ideas and researching check again if that crypto you choose it accepted to your country and you have an exchanger and if you have good luck in investing on cryptocurrency hope that you become successful.  Smiley
