Ethereum is a good one to hold for the long term, but on the assumption that you are holding just only Ethereum, that is the only thing I may actually have to disagree with as you will be putting all your eggs in one basket. However, based on the wallet to put your asset, hardware wallet is actually your best bet in terms of security and safety.

For me, ethereum is a good long term and short term investment just like Bitcoin. Both has established their rank on crypto market, so it would be best to have both. Also having a hardware wallet is advisable if you want to have extra protection for your investments.

I think most of us have some sort of level of investment into ETH and might be thinking of holding it for a lengthy period of time while it is the second biggest and closest challenger to Bitcoin in the Altcoin world. A good point, but it is always very important to also know that ICOs can be very risky and it is better to familiarize with the environment first before attempting to make any move as to that aspect. It is actually good for the long term to hold Ethereum and the good thing is that tokens from the ICOs can still be held in the same wallet and a good way is to invest in good projects as that can actually be a way to increase one's asset pretty much in the long run.

yeah only in good and best ico you will gain profit. you need do your own research before investing icos. waiting for invest in one coin for 5-10 years is a long long time. you should make your own money go work so you get doubled every day, not in just a single coin.
