For me its good if you research and pick a crypto have a potncial to grow because many crypto have a potencial to grow the price like bitcoin and ethereum that two is the ideal for investment but now is falling price but i think that is not permanent the price down because theres many people prediction bitcoin and ethereum will back in original price or reach the original price so for me bitcoin and ethereum is the best for 2018 to invest.

I will firmly buy my BTS, and believe that centralization will be the core content of the encrypted world. BTS is in line with this trend.

If you are asking for the most potential and profitable coins in the market then my personal choice is ETH,BTC,LTC,NEO being listed on the top most coins in market.These coins will be most used and widely accepted in the future for making payments and ETH will be base for more ICO and smart contracts.Diversify your investment in these coins and you will get huge profits in coming years and you will see bumps in prices in Q3 of this year.

I think more and more good ico just came out in this year. i recommend vtos if you want to invest in ico. because in my opinion vtos have a good future in view in terms of plans for the future.

There is so many factors to consider when choosing what coin in the crypto market you want to invest in and it depends on how long are you been exposed to the market and what level of skills can you apply to your trades to profit and avoid loss because this will determine where you should going to, top coins that are been there in the market for a long time but moving slow giving you less risk or the new coins that is pioneering in the market but has a potential to give you huge profit and risk.

I’m going to be accumulating the majority of the coins below over the course of 2018 Q1—I’m a big believer in a diversified portfolio.

Especially in crypto.

I split coins into 3 tiers. Coins in tiers 1 & 2 I will be continuously adding to my holdings throughout Q1.

I based these tiers on my investment strategy, I highly suggest creating a strategy before investing in anything.

You need to have a goal that you’re working towards, and a framework for how you want to reach that goal.

My goal is to increase my holdings of Tier 1 & 2 coins, by trading coins from tier 3 on a short-medium time frame (2–6 months).

I also margin trade Tier 1 & 2 coins and use profits to increase my overall $BTC position.

Don’t margin trade.

It’s bad.

Not margin trading is rule #8 in my “10 Crypto Commandments”.

Some of these coins I don’t believe in as long term investments.

Most of the time, the criteria I use to pick coins starts fundamentally with the team, roadmap, and community.

Once I’ve deemed a coin as “Fundamentally Strong”, I then go into the charts and apply Technical Analysis to determine if I can get a solid entry point.

Sometimes, I’ll see a coin I don’t think will last in the long run, but the chart is just too pretty to say no. I will denote these coins with an [X] by their name.

Bitcoin ($BTC)

I always hold at least a little BTC. Bitcoin is the market leader, and until that changes, I will always hedge against my Altcoin investments with Bitcoin. I typically have any where from 10–30% of my portfolio in Bitcoin depending on Bitcoin dominance at that time.

Bitcoin dominance refers to the percentage of the total cryptocurrency market share which is held by Bitcoin. You can check the live stat here.

The link also shows the market dominance of the other major coins on the market- spend some time getting to know the chart and notice how coins market caps correlate negatively or positively with each other.

Understanding the market cycles of crypto is pivotal to successful investing.

Tier 2

Neo ($NEO) & Ethereum ($ETH)

ETH and NEO are competitors. They solve the same problems, are both serious coins with large market caps, and I hold both as long term investments.

I’m not hedging against my bets by investing in competitors. It’s feasible to me that these two entities could co-exist in the future in a fashion similar to how Apple and Samsung coexist.

I would always recommend  bitcoin since it has the best value ever since crypto world has started. Knowing bitcoin as the father of all coins, I believe that it won't fail us. It has passed all the tests of time and it could strike higher if we'll just wait for the right time for it to rise again.

if you havent invested yet in 2018 you are lucky because you would be in dept for sure if you invested earlier. now there is a good chance to collect everything in cheap price. especially neo and ethereum is very cheap and they supposed to jump up quickly in the future.

The cryptocurrency that I will invest in 2018, is the etheteum altcoin, I choose ethreum altcoin for I am familiar with this coin, and it is not huge amount to invest compared to bitcoin , I prefer ethereum because it rank second to leader of the coin market bitcoin, and also it is slowly establishing its name in the cryprto world

That ethereum coin is also I would like to invest this 2018, because it has many uses, it can be use directly as gas for tokens to be traded in the different sites  , and it is establishing its name in the coin market next to bitcoin and aside from it, it is not big value when we want to invest unlike bitcoin which has a great value for investment.
