Which cryptocurrency should I invest in, in 2018? Why?

If i am to invest this year i would prefer btc and eth. Needless to explain, just see how affordable the price of eth these days. You just have to hodl and and try to be patient as you can. On the other hand while btc's price is low now it is still expensive to invest with it but if i have the resources  i will definitely invest on btc.

In choosing coins you need to be smart. Analyze the market, but before that you need to do some research for you to have enough knowledge in what coin to choose, But the thing is there are lots of coin, a good coins that follows bitcoin not just the Ethereum. But then you need to be wise enough before you choose since its the money in the end that will count.

Most investor must be choosing bitcoin and ethereum to invest their money. Its biggest market cap coin in market. If I must investing my money, bitcoin is number 1 choice and ethereum is number 2 choice. But beside 2 coins, many altcoin have good future and i am believe can compete with top coin

You can pick many if you like and its look trusted to you because a lot of crypto investments now a days would be difficult to find because a lot of them are good in false promises I belong to what they have deceived because a lot of them now are suspicious and not trusted so be knowledgeable if you wan't to invest on cryptocurrency because lost money is not easy f you invest a lot.

i do still believe in possibilities of hold coins. There still a lot of opportunity a head and im sure market will be stable someday, if you read a lot about cryptocurrency im pretty sure you would see the opportunity investing in cryptocurrency. I would do recommend to invest in new project called romad cause they are on horizon 2020 which i believe not a lot of crypto project on that project.

My advice seems to be that you can invest in cryptocurrency by buying bitcoin in 2018. I'm sure the price of bitcoin can be more expensive than in 2017, so I'm sure it's because the condition of bitcoin now has a lot of knowledge about bitcoin and the demand for bitcoin will be higher and the price will also be high.

ETH and bitcoin are still the best when discussing investment issues. of course the reason is because it is a trusted coin, and is very good to hold in the future. Well, I think good coins are also very good, but I think that the other coins are only for the short term.

There is not a reason to take any huge risk especially if bitcoin can give you great profits n the next years, I could understand if someone invested in other coins if they thought that bitcoin had no more room to grow but in fact it is the opposite, it is very likely that bitcoin is going to surpass its previous all time high in the next years and many are predicting a price of 50k in the next decade.

I’m going to be accumulating the majority of the coins below over the course of 2018 Q1—I’m a big believer in a diversified portfolio.

Especially in crypto.

I split coins into 3 tiers. Coins in tiers 1 & 2 I will be continuously adding to my holdings throughout Q1.

I based these tiers on my investment strategy, I highly suggest creating a strategy before investing in anything.

You need to have a goal that you’re working towards, and a framework for how you want to reach that goal.

My goal is to increase my holdings of Tier 1 & 2 coins, by trading coins from tier 3 on a short-medium time frame (2–6 months).

I also margin trade Tier 1 & 2 coins and use profits to increase my overall $BTC position.

Don’t margin trade.

It’s bad.

Not margin trading is rule #8 in my “10 Crypto Commandments”.

Some of these coins I don’t believe in as long term investments.

Most of the time, the criteria I use to pick coins starts fundamentally with the team, roadmap, and community.

Once I’ve deemed a coin as “Fundamentally Strong”, I then go into the charts and apply Technical Analysis to determine if I can get a solid entry point.

Sometimes, I’ll see a coin I don’t think will last in the long run, but the chart is just too pretty to say no. I will denote these coins with an [X] by their name.

Bitcoin ($BTC)

I always hold at least a little BTC. Bitcoin is the market leader, and until that changes, I will always hedge against my Altcoin investments with Bitcoin. I typically have any where from 10–30% of my portfolio in Bitcoin depending on Bitcoin dominance at that time.

Bitcoin dominance refers to the percentage of the total cryptocurrency market share which is held by Bitcoin. You can check the live stat here.

The link also shows the market dominance of the other major coins on the market- spend some time getting to know the chart and notice how coins market caps correlate negatively or positively with each other.

Understanding the market cycles of crypto is pivotal to successful investing.

Tier 2

Neo ($NEO) & Ethereum ($ETH)

ETH and NEO are competitors. They solve the same problems, are both serious coins with large market caps, and I hold both as long term investments.

I’m not hedging against my bets by investing in competitors. It’s feasible to me that these two entities could co-exist in the future in a fashion similar to how Apple and Samsung coexist.

For me the best choices for investments in 2018 would be Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Dash and EOS. IOSToken and SXDT are also great alternatives as prices now are cheaper compared to it's previous prices. These coins are only in my own preferrences and you might not like it but I already have good gains from them and I am happy they'd helped me rebuild my own house and hopefully it will be done very soon.

Of course bitcoin, even though bitcoin prices still down, but bitcoin prices still the the highest among all cryptocurrency and i trust bitcoin more than other cryptocurrency.
