Hello Everyone, I'm very new to Altcoins, Cryptocurrencies In General. I'm Looking for someone's advice that has been around for a while to kind of give me some tips or pointers on how to spot legit coin's, what to look for before investing. Really just any guidance on a basic level would be greatly appreciated.
If you are a beginner, then you should first collect more information about what cryptocurrency is. Now a lot of videos and groups in the telegram, watching that you will better navigate in altcoins and in this area.

Look at the market Volume and Total supply.
Total suply shouldn`t be very big and if you are a total newbie Volume is >1 000 000$ for you.
Then try to find out which coin is prespective one Cool

For those of you who are new to cryptocurrency, the existence of an altcoin might feel a little confusing too much. Therefore let's analyze again coins that are less clear in the market which we will put into our portfolio.

For marketcap startups usually less than 10 million, their prices are above $ 1 on average, and within 24 hours their volume's above 10k USD. I think with this kind of calculation it means that this coin has a pretty good community/ volume/ability. Along with the prices of those who have never experienced extreme increases. That means this coin still has the potential/ opportunity to grow at an amazing level.

Just make sure that when you want to invest in an altcoin that you have a very good understanding of the kind of project that they are offering you, if you are not making a good effort to understand the coins then you stand more risks of investing your money into scam coins. Especially when you are dealing with new coins you have to be extra careful

If you are looking for legit coins, then go to coinmarketcap.com and look for the first 100coins. They have the biggest market capitalization which is an indication of how people believe in the coin and using it.
