$500 isn't too high but we are still quite far to that speculated price. $1000 is high and we may see it again but I think it will take a lot of time again before reaching that price unless this year goes full bull just like 2017 where it has reached $1400. A chance of hitting higher than $1000 is also there.

However, if Vitalik and his team fails to deliver and release ETH 2.0 on the given date, would that imply that today's ethereum price does not give grounds on its real value per coin?
