If you lost premine, better for the coin, if you re-launch, you have 0 credibility because it means you only care about the premine, not the coin.

Premine was only 150k coins, you can get that from donations easily.
If you re-launch, coin is DEAD.

Considering the quality of the dev team and the stupidities they've made in the source (too low upper bound for diff increase, especially when combined with 2016 blocks for diff retarget, not insuring their premine with a checkpoint, bugs in Linux build, and possibly more bugs that I've not discovered), the coin has quite high chances of dying anyway.

Sorry to everyone that took part for this launch but we have been betrayed by the 3rd person of the development team and all the premine has been stolen and the code wasn't anywhere near what was planned. We feel so bad for all this since we know you have put time and effort on this new coin launch. We feel sick and disgusted by this betrayal and would never want this to happen. This is all bad for WikiCoin imago but we can't let the betrayer profit from our efforts.
We are thinking about the coin relaunch with a new code but we need to investigate this further first.

More information will be given as soon as we get some!

We are so confused at the moment. What to do? We have worked so hard for this that we don't want to give it up either... And for the people that are willing to give donations - can't believe your attitude that you want to help us even when letting you down.

Most likely someone built a longer chain (with current diff quite easy) not over premined block but over a genesis block and then all other clients switched to the newer chain

Did you add a checkpoint in the client at the last premined block?
Let me see the source - no, no checkpoint except the genesis block.

So nobody betrayed you except lack of your coding experience. You've forgot to add checkpoints and considering the difficulty increase limits, the rest of the network just forked your premine off without actually somebody doing it knowingly.

So now it is a fair coin with no premine? Good Smiley
