Past 81000 blocks and reward has not halved. what is up with this coin?
Just checked the source: nSubsidy >>= (nHeight / 810000); That's block halving every 810K blocks. I actually feel much better about this, it took half a day for the difficulty to rise enough that I wasn't loosing all my blocks as orphans. I'm now just starting to find real blocks. This goes from us missing the boat on the 50 blocks to us getting better payouts for a week or so.

I could be wrong but isn't this a good thing for the ones that didn't capitalize with massive CPU power on day one? Every one else gets a better chance at finding blocks which is the point of coins like this anyways.

So it seems that the block halving will be only every 3.8 years or so .. and the projected 30M max coins will be exceeded theoretically in about 3 years, but considering the diff retarget parameters it would be much sooner.

So does this also mean the coin will cap out early? In Main.h static const int64 MAX_MONEY = 30000000 * COIN; And since block halving is set to 810,000 blocks would this mean the coin will cap out at the 600,000th block since it will still be generating 50 coins per block?

No. MAX_MONEY has absolutely nothing to do about how much money will be generated, although coin devs often try for these two to match. It is maximal amount of money that can be sent in one transaction and is a countermeasure against this attack: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Common_Vulnerabilities_and_Exposures#CVE-2010-5139Having more coins than MAX_MONEY in circulation is not a problem, as the coins are usually distributed in a way that no single wallet will have that many coins. Coin will not cap and after the supply reaches 30M, it will rise again according to the original plan (i.e. halving every 810K blocks).
