Bitcoin or any other software is likely to be faulty. Digital money has an extremely high anonymity, which is a good environment for hackers!

Because the bitcoin value is so high in dollars, hackers are still treading holes in the security software. They use bugs that the bitcoin developers themselves to exploit to exploit, take possession of bitcoin. As the value of bitcoin grew, the demand for black hat hackers increased.

Yes, I also think that is the reason. Of course, hackers will go to the big fish and bitcoin and other cryptocurrency has a huge value so it is a no brainer, Cryptocurrency having a huge value tends to attract hackers. It is an easy money for them and it is more convenient than to hack bank account where they could be tracked down.

For the record, there has NEVER been a hack of bitcoin. People have had their coin stolen from hacked websites, but the protocol has nothing to hack.

Is it really that hard to prevent hackers from hacking exchanges, wallets and God knows what other methods they use...
I mean how on earth is crypto supposed to flourish if it's so venerable to hackers?
Every month a huge hack happens and totally destroys the crypto image yet again.
At this rate, bitcoin will go to $1 as it gets hacked every day.
Is it possible to take simple precautions to protect against hackers?
For a so called "unhackable" wallet, private key ect, it seems to be a cake walk for any hacker.
Sorry for the rant, it's just irritating to see crypto slowly dying because of hacks.

hacks are becoming parts of everyday lives, not only in crypto. We need to learn to protect ourselves and not leave ourselves vulnerable. Centralized exchanges will become past soon.

Yes i agree that hacking is part of our daily lives. So we should be extra careful in everything we do coz hackers are everywhere.

It is very difficult to provide 100% security to your wallets, exchanges and accounts. No matter how you protect them, you can not provide absolute security.

You can get close enough by generating the private key(s) on an air gapped offline machine and having multiple redundant backups that are also not connected to any communication channels. If anything it's one of the more secure things in the world.

You should try to research about Bitcoin's features compared to altcoins. Bitcoin so far is non-hackable and there are no records of it being hacked systematically. Don't confuse things and open your eyes. Cryptocurrency are bound to experience those crimes since it exists in the World Wide Web. The Internet is a very dangerous and risky place to put your money and assets without the right knowledge. Accumulate more knowledge and tips on how to be secured in the Internet. It is common sense to get yourself secure in the digital world.

Not just crypto currency. it's happening everyday, websites get hacked for data, people's personal computers get hacked to gain passwords etc.You can't hack bitcoin!!!!
Bitcoin is the protocol running on the blockchain, it has never been "hacked".there are no records of it.

Most of hackers now targeting bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies because bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies is very worth today. The money is there, as cryptocurrency users we should be careful about where we save  our cryptocurrencies. Exchanges site is not save place.

In most cases there is no break-in, there is the stupidity of the person who gave away his coins. And all this is happening in the crypto world because there are a lot of big money and there are a lot of "stupid" people who just started to understand cryptoworld. I don't want to offend anyone, I just want to say that the loss of coins is on everyone's conscience

hackers are everywhere eating from where they have not sown. it has/ even gotten to an extent when cars are being hacked. the security wall of certain things in the world has been compromised so i wont be surprised if crypto currency and BTC is being hacked. but i will advised for people to be conscious of how they leave information around and will also the managers of BTC website to be active and seek for more ways of protecting the site

You should be aware of the problem, the thing that is infringed is not bitcoin but your wallet. This happens when you expose your information, or you have downloaded malicious programs. Error is not due to security of blockchain, error is caused by yourself.

That's why lots of people go for paper wallets and don't store large amounts of crypto on exchanges, cuz 1 day when you wake up and check your BTC balance on a certain exchange you may see 1 big fat 0. Don't be surprised if this happens.

Only Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency?

That is certainly not the case. The problem with hackers is worldwide and between industries including all of them who handles digital information or tools in some way or another - Some get attacked through third party they contract to do certain things for them, delivery or things like that.

Blockchain is a lot more secure than regular internet for that matter and this is something that we need to have present everyday. Remember that the weakest link in any security system is in a lot of cases the human being.
