The attention of the many?
There is another explanation?

And how are you going to distribute the coins to everyone?

Electronic National ID scheme - provided by the government, but useable by anyone.

I think the electronic identity card is an illusion
Fundamentally unrealistic

This is a fact
Too hard
To solve?

Well now this is over with. Took some time for KGW to normalize, since the previous blocks had such extreme blocktimes. A lot of blocks mined in the process.

Thanks to the miners who stuck with AUR.
And thanks to you Balduro for all your hard work!  We found block 5401 at http://aur.scrypthp.com so looks like things are on track!

i think the airdrop must target the bag holders, because they believe on this coin, and stay mining it with low profitability before hard fork, not target icelanders who drop all airdrop coins on exchange!

There are going to be some sad bagholders when a bunch of icelanders dump their free coins.

I wish I could short this coin. It will plummet so quickly.

DON'T SAY WE DIDN'T WARN YOU. I would have made so much if I was able to short it.

Can you refresh my memory on what the price of BTC was after 1.5 months heck you can round up to 2 months. (I do not own any AUR)

That's completely meaningless for so many reasons. BTC had the first-mover advantage, zero competition for years and wasn't restricted to use in one tiny country. You can use that as a comeback for any alt-coin. More relevant is how 99% of all alt-coins have collapsed in price 2-6 months after they were introduced.

So do you think the almighty BTC will never fall to nothing. Governments could do a few things and it will fall flat on its face. All I am saying is do not act like BTC is the holy grail. It too could fail. Yes there are a lot of crappy coins but let the markets dictate which coins will survive. No need to bash every coin because one of them might just take over BTC place on top.

I bought AUR before the drop and have held onto it, and I'd still buy some more. There are many altcoins yes, most of them lose close to all their value, but not many have matched the ambition of Auroracoin and tried to grow the market of crypto currencies.  I expect it will look grim for another week or so at least but it will start to turn around when we start to hear more stories about how people are using it. The short term price isn't as important as how it is adopted, it's still early.

Do you have reading comprehension issues? Where in my post did I say any of that?

- I never said anything about the almighty BTC. I never said anything that would indicate I thought it was the holy grail. I never say it couldn't fail. I have not bashed every coin. I just knew AUR would drop in price.

All I was saying in my response to you is that what BTC's price was after 2 months is irrelevant entirely to AUR for the reasons I pointed out. Nice strawman arguments though. God, the people on this site...

Timberrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr !   this coin goes lower every single day.  I thought I did well lowering my average purchase price to .04...didn't know I had to lower it to .004.  I wonder if I can recycle my AUR bag ?  =)

yeh u're right, but we all believe that this coin will be a big step towards regularization and use of cryptocurency. we have all waited the holyday airodrop day, we have waited had fork day, and what now AUR loses 90% of its value and it continues.
if this coin will ve  future it will be profitable to those who adopt it later, but it is a disaster to those who have believe onearlier, without them it would be already dead!

Man o Man! This IS really the wild west scheme ... .Now this: I withdrew my few Auroras and some other altcoins yesterday from Cryptorush - today its closed to that coins, they seem to prefer to play on their own with the frozen coins ... . crazy.

http://coinjoint.info/leaked-cryptorush-dumping-auroracoin-mazacoin-potcoin-recover-stolen-bitcoin/

Under those conditions its time for a noodly appendage coin (NDL) grass root revolution with humour, i already ordered those ones.  Grin

Before we begin, we should take a hard look at ourselves first.

Wow!

What a variety of posters with wildly different views...

Some of y'all have the "To the Moon and BEYOND!" mindset...

Others have a "through the cellar and straight to Hell" P.O.V.

Then there's the trolls...

Thanks for the entertainment!
