Not fixed? As in in terms of price? If you'll notice, every currency is not fixed also. 1 USD to YEN conversion always changes even other currency. They are just saying that the cryptocurrency is not fixed because it is always being referenced to another currency. 1USD will stay 1 USD because it is not being referenced to another currency. In fact, the value of USD changes always, people are just not aware of it. So if we will take a look at a cryptocurrency by just that specific cryptocurrency, will it change? No. Example: 1 ETH will stay 1ETH just like 1 USD will stay equal to 1 USD.

Cryptocurrency gets its price from the community or in other words the price of a cryptocurrency is community driven.

I think you should start introducing them to the crypto currency with the positive side of it as well as negative one. Both of them must be balanced in such way that  they can trust you and trust the crypto that there is at least some more % of legitimacy that it will give you profits in the long run.

Gold was there ever since the World created. cryptocurrency exists as a digital currency on the Internet. we can't compare these two. it has a value on its own. the good thing about cryptocurrency is that everyone has a chance to obtain, unlike Gold. but of course, when the Internet's gone, and so is the crypt.
