how do you solo mine?

Open windows explorer
type %APPDATA% in address bar
Go to Karmacoin folder


make a new file called karmacoin.conf

Put this in it

rpcallowip=127.0.0.1

rpcuser=karmacoin
rpcpassword=ilovekarma
rpcport=62555
daemon=1
server=1

Restart wallet. Now put this in your cgminer config

      "url" : "127.0.0.1:62555",
      "user" : "karmacoin",
      "pass" : "ilovekarma"
},

This is a security risk though. Enjoy!

This crashed my cgminer - assuming I wasn't supposed to input the actual quotations.

All the quotations between the brackets absolutely must be there. If this ends up being the last pool in your list, make sure you don't have the comma at the end.

i am using 1 mh and keep finding a block every other 10 min in solo..


so try solo. with 10 mh you would crack them

I solo mined a block and it said accepted, and then i saw transaction come in, but when i went to the wallet there is 0 coins 

click transactions. if it has a "?" it means it was an orphan(reject)... it means some one else was solving for that block and got to it before you.


i must have gotten about 200 rejects

It's not in transactions at all though...
I guess I'll just go to sleep, this isn't worth it

That happens when latency causes other miners to add a block to the chain faster than you can. It happens

Well this launch got botched. Solo mined blocks orphaned, only pool to choose from takes a long time to connect and i get spammed with lost shares due to disconnection or a weird issue where it says it cant connect, miners start hashing anyway, but no shares go through. Fail.

a new pool just got posted. try that

When I see pools breaking, I solomine. Learn how and avoid this problem in the future

You can't use CGMiner version beyond 3.7.2 for mining with GPU. The one you have will not work for this coin. Use 3.7.2 off this page

This is a file archive, like a ZIP file. You must extract it using a program such as WinRAR or 7zip. The cgminer executable will be inside.

We're working on that.  Since we just set this up it's still using some default values for litecoin... Hell I sure wish it was going to make me $750,000 a day!!

You are fail! You don't know how to mine. Orophans are because someone mined block just before You and it's totally normal...
Launch was good for me.
