Enzo Mascara is still without a working starting lineup and this is his second season - I agree every time he comes with his roulette the team becomes more terrible and he keep doing it hoping for a different results.

Next week he'll come up with a new strategy again... Is Maresca an inconsistent coach? I don't know why he keeps changing every week, if he is solid with his strategy I think Chelsea will be better.

Manchester united have a better squad than us - they have the experience while we have the numbers. A good manager and they'd start competing for the league title.

It's the same ... players are also good it can be because of the coach's own upbringing, with so many players maybe Maresca is a bit confused about which ones should be played as the core.

Fighting for UCL or UEL league places, Chelsea still has a chance than Manchester United.

There is nothing to doubt for Arsenal... I thought last night's game would be tough, in the second half it was Aston Villa's undoing with 4 goals first, before Ollie Watkins scored as well, it was crazy the Gunners slaughtered the team that had beaten them... the score expectations were not this way but tight.

It was a classic victory, very similar to some of our recent big games like the one against Atletico and even Real at the Emirates last season. It is great to have Big Gabi back, the team looked a lot more settled at the back except for the first quarter of an hour when our midfield was not tight, after that the defensive line limited them to almost nothing and Gabi proved a menace in the other box too.
It was really fitting for Jesus to get our first and last goal of the year. It has been a long road back to fitness and he fought his way back. A very key improvement to the team for the second half of the season.

Who would have predicted that Liverpool, that had gone 6-7 games without a league win, would be 5 points clear of Chelsea in December? Yeah, I did. I bet on them finishing in the top 4

I think for Chelsea in these few matches too busy with trying to do full control of the field which makes the players especially for their defense too far out of position that should create a big gap for their opponents to take advantage of when they get the ball and make a quick counterattack.

They are also poor in aerial duels and are not very good at parking the movement of players without the ball.
The 2 goals Brentford were the same situation when a long throw occurred and the Chelsea players were fixated on the ball and did not pay attention to the movements of the Brentford players.
The first goal scored by David Grooks was very easy because Garnacho was fixated on the ball so he missed a step to close the movement, the second goal was also the same where Garnacho and Gusto were fixated on the ball but did not notice Kluivert coming from behind.

Generally a good round for the LFC fans if we do manage to win against Leeds on Thursday. Would push us 5 points ahead of Chelsea in 4th - and they honestly looked terrible against one of the league's worst defences recently.
Whenever they rotate a few players (and they have 60 of those) you have a feeling they don't know how to organize a meaningful offensive play.

Yeah we had some good results for us last night, Chelsea and Man Utd both dropping points. I don’t really want Arsenal to win the league, but Villa losing is somewhat beneficial to us. We’ve been terrible all season but a win against Leeds at Anfield tomorrow, would put us 4 points behind 3rd place and 5 points ahead of both Chelsea and Man Utd.

Another "Yes sir" Manager with no major trophies winning experience - They've parted way with more than 4 managers and nothing has changed so nothing is going to change now until the owners get it right.

It is all talk really. Nothing we say here can affect the play and you guys really are not in a form to hang with City whether you prefer to lose or not.

I wonder who will be in your dugout by the time. The sack of Maresca does not look like it was planned and a replacement ready. Maybe a caretaker manager and then a decision made in due time. You would not want to sign a manager in a rush and make a wrong decision. At some point you have to back the manager you have and also let him have a say in the transfers.

Strange results are happening just like I expected for a first day in new year.
We had two draws for today but I was not expecting boring 0:0 draw in Liverpool vs Leeds match.

What a frustrating game at Anfield. We were good enough to score something in the 1st half but overall not a performance you hope to get at home against a team promoted from the Championship.
3-3 and 0-0, 4 points lost to them this season. Simply not good enough throughout most of the game, and a bit lucky that DCL was a moment too quick with his movement in an otherwise brilliant finish.

It's 2 away games next - Fulham and Arsenal. Won't be pretty.

I see Cesc coming up frequently. I cannot see him leaving the Como project mid season or even in the summer into a high pressure job. Young coaches should pick their way climbing up the ranks to avoid being swallowed up by the pressure.

With how the Enrique deal went he must have been aware but thought he could handle it or it will relax with time, none of that obviously happened.
Even though Abrmovich pumped in tons of money at the club when he took over, he always allowed the manager take charge, overseeing from the sidelines, and stepping in only when the results do not match expectations. You cannot treat a club entirely like a business if you want it to flourish.

I still wonder, what is the deal with you guys not having a sponsor yet? I saw it was something about holding on for UCL football last season which has obviously come.Trusty Sunderland did the job today. Europe is now a very realistic target for them.

It's a shame no one finds us appealing for business or simply dislikes our owners since it doesn't make sense that we've still been without front shirt sponsors since O3 left, despite winning the WC and competing in the CL. A shit project

It is puzzling to me. The club has a large fan-base, good success over the lat 2 decades and will give visibility in the top competitions. It looks like a very obvious appealing deal for brands. I will go with the other option of the negotiation process making most pull out, there definitely has to be offers on the table. Maybe after the UCL spot the club feels there is another height to be reached and are holding on for when that happens to enter a more rewarding long term deal. With the player contracts it is clear the long term partnerships will be a top priority.

You guys could do an auction, similar to what theymos used to do here with signatures. Weekly you get bids on what goes in front of the shirt and sell to the highest legitimate bid

I was right when I had a gut feeling about Man City would not win against Sunderland.
Bellies full of food and ale from celebration was shown in all teams that played yesterday, with only two goals scored in four matches.
I am expecting to see more goals this weekend.

The pool this season is really something,usually there is someone who stands out and is leading a lot but this season top 30 players still have a shot at first place. With a good 1-2 rounds everyone can surprise everyone and im glad its this close for now.

I was at start of the pool after first couple of rounds i think last and now exactly 20 points away from first place. Just need some luck and will reach top 5 fast surely.

I'm not sure what the problem is with those guys; I see us getting closer to shirt sponsorship deals every month, but it never happens.

They keep rejecting deals - Stake once approached with a nice contract, but the owners did not want casino sponsors. Explaining Chelsea is challenging.
