It seems the City will never face any punishment. A lenient punishment would be a disgrace, but a severe one would be a blow the business could not withstand. Therefore, we will see another couple of years of decisions/appeals/delays/reviews of violations, etc., and then the case will be closed either due to the expiration of the deadline or because formal errors are found on the part of the accusing party (an exact copy of the UEFA v. City case, where City got away with it while being guilty).

They are never gonna face some real penalty , the main thing resume on the business is gonna be super hard damaging if they sanction the teams who bring the more viewers and spend the most biggest ammount of money. Is sad but that is how the world works.

Yep. That's exactly what I meant. And instead of openly spitting in everyone's face saying "yes, that's the way business is," they simply delay the outcome. But this doesn't seem like a good strategy in direction those who care (what's the point of worrying about those who don't care) because it only builds up anger and mistrust. In a sense, these are the same Epstein files that will be "investigated" until all the participants and even their heirs die of old age.

Very disappointed to see the FA results also,,, honestly if my own club cheated I would want them punished. If we always allow big clubs to get away with punishment,,, what is the message other than hey please continue cheating just pay us money.

At least Italian FA was not afraid to punish Juventus to the max.

Wonder why Chelsea self reported if they were possibly going to get away with it any way.

I get the part of Chelsea self reporting the incident, but that does not take away the fact that the team cheated and benefited from it for several years and are still benefiting from it now from a financial stand point.

The FA do not seem bold enough to give point deductions to 'bigger' teams in the league, I don't think City gets any either at the end of all of this. Just a slap on the wrist and some suspended bans.

Have you ever wondered why they don't go after any of the Reds (Arsenal, Manchester United, and Liverpool)? And why were they the only ones supporting the FA against Manchester City and Everton? The FA is corrupt, and Manchester City are getting their asses kicked in court.

I’m more annoyed about Man City, they stopped us winning multiple titles with their financial doping. Chelsea were a big club before Abramovich any way so it doesn’t feel as bad. Man City were nothing before the money.

We all saw the games with our eyes, and despite the fact that Manchester City only became a thing 13 years ago, you have only two EPL titles in over 30 years. It does not add up.D

Your club has been getting all the most costly stuff on the market; stop blaming City for your club's failures - I don't remember them telling Gerrard to lose the ball the way he did.

I understand that but there is a level to the leniency, you don't get to avoid almost any punishment at all because you self reported, you get an 8 point deduction instead of 15 or you get a one year ban instead of two years.

When you compare the level of rules broken between clubs that were caught recently and Chelsea you get to see how soft the verdict is.

Always knew Brighton weren't going to be pushovers. Always knew we wouldn't be at the same tempo from the Gala game. Always knew the 2/1+ odds ML was actually poor value, rather than good. But still had to put half the sink on Pool.

Not really sure what to think of this - Liverpool is currently 5th and is closer to relegation (20 points) than to the title (21 points).
I just want this season to end and to never see Arne Slot near Anfield again.

Our violations were historic and can't be compared to Everton's situation; Everton broke financial sustainability rules, we did not.

And FYI we got fined 10m ( highest fine in the league) and 9 months immediate academy transfer ban - that's a lot for self- reporting something the FA were never going to find

We're trying so hard to throw Liverpool to the top 4 and they're trying so hard to not make it.

I think Aston Villa will win tomorrow, but I'm glad that despite the draw, United have seriously increased their chances of finishing in the top 5. After they played before their competitors, it was hard to imagine.

I think you didn't understand me (or I don't understand you)  In my opinion, given the current results, a PSG win should be priced at 1.6, not 1.87. Liverpool is no better than Chelsea, and we saw what happened to Chelsea in the game against PSG.

England holds first place, and it seems mathematically impossible to lose it. Spain has increased its lead over Germany, and given the relative number of teams, I'd say La Liga will secure five Champions League tickets next year:

I think KTChampions is right here, there is only 1 German team left and many Spain teams left,,, you get points for wins, so there will be minimum 1 Spain win (Barca or Atletico) and maximum 1 German win

And then you have to count the Spanish teams in other leagues too,,, Spain will take 5 spots not Germany

Terrible season for me as a Liverpool fan but if I can take one thing from this season then Spurs getting relegated would be fantastic. I sound like a hater but if another set of fans can have a worse time than us then it would give me a little smile

Who wouldn't?  I've been longing to see one of the big 6 kiss the championship division for a long time and Spursy seems like the perfect candidate - they have the most unlikeable players ever. It's either them or Westham; tow good choice 

Time to support the remaining English teams in the CL to perform well to give us the additional CL slot; I can't imagine Liam finishing in the top 4 although Liverpool and Aston Villa are being supportive in this trying times

I've said it like 50 times already but I can't wait for this season to end. It's such a weird feeling, we're still in the CL and FA Cup and I simply have 0 hope that we can win any of these games and come close to fighting for a trophy.
We'll probably concede 10 goals in these 3 games combined.

Isak should be close to match fitness after the break, maybe that can help us out a bit. But I don't think prime Messi would be able to help Arne Slot win a game of football.

Not Premier League but Arsenal now wait 33 years for EFL trophy while Manchester City get Pep his 5th. Not exactly a prestigious cup but its still something Arsenal wish they won because league title but no cup win is going to feel like a disappointment after being labeled best team in Europe

I dont really know how Arne Slot is gonna hold his position as head coach/manager of Liverpool i mean is by far one of the worst season of the club in a while and after spending a ton of money in players which clearly wasnt at the height of the club and the circunstances, is sad because he manage to lift the Premier League last year but right now i can only see him sacked after the season ends.

We'll see whether he really does leave for free. I doubt it, there will be Al Somethings standing in line and LFC will probably be able to take advantage of that.

No, Liverpool isn't getting a penny, he's moving for free as "thank you" for all you did for us for the last time- that's 400k off Liverpool books anyway. A win- win situation for both parties.
