Tottenham are paying a salary of £12 million per season who wouldn't be tempted by this figure? Zerbi doesn't look at which teams are good... he looks at which teams give a lot of money so even though Tottenham will sink he will try to right the ship so that it goes again.

Tottenham managed to survive relegation then Roberto De Zerbi will survive... if it sinks into the championship then he will be fired again.

It's understandable. Marseille obviously has a lower ceiling than Spurs.
Tottenham is a great job in all honesty - if they survive the drop, they will probably be a team that will fight for European spots next season.

De Zerby for sure wants to be back on Premier League after his good steps on Brighton and Totenham is a much bigger team, plus Marseille is a big team which gives you only all the problems of the big teams and nothing of the good things about being a big team, i mean Marseille is gonna lose against PSG in Ligue1 giving you all the pressure from the Ultras and you have also 0 chance in europe in the UCL, so.... easy choice.

Yes,,, same thinking here. He still took the job, we have no credentials to show to Zerbi that we would not just fight off relegation but have a new vision. Guy like him wants a vision and our board will not be ready in 100 years to give it. But well, looks like he thought he could try anyway

To be fair, Zerbi was in the picture before we took Frank AND now he himself chose to abandon Marseille before we hired Igor, so I have a feeling they all discussed it with him first,,, then hired Igor as caretaker and now he has properly 'left' his old job and come to us.

Everybody remembers what he did at Brighton for sure,,, but this is not the same thing. This is a fight and a battle,,, hope he knows what he wants to do and what he has to do.

The picture i see is clear, and someone is gonna be harm very hard, i mean if Forest and Leeds maintain the category and remains in Premier League one of the big and clasic teams of Premier League is gonna have to play in championship next season, and im talking about West Ham or Totenham if that scenario happens, is gonna be a bloodbath for the last games. No chance- he's been explaining to the English media since he flew in about Greenwood. Sorry to say but most English fans are dumb and don't think for themselves; saw some Totteham fans protesting against the hire of Zerbi for accommodating Greenwood at Marseille.

Just when I thought I was going to see Greenwood in the National team soon before the World Cup - he's better than everyone in his position in that shitty English team.

Over the last years the jobs I would not want an upcoming manager taking is Spurs, Chelsea, United or Madrid, it is high pressure and you are constantly on the chopping block even if the crisis was there long before you came in. Recent cases are Alonso, Thomas Frank and currently Liam who I do not think will last much longer.

No chance De Zerbi himself wants to follow them to the Championship. Whatever the money that will be damaging for his career plus Saudi probably pays more if he no longer cares about the spot light.

All those you mentioned all left a stable project after one good season to chase the bag; 2/3 are currently unemployed - I don't feel anything for them, they knew where they were all coming. The moment you're signed, you're expected to start winning trophies the next day, no excuses.

The club does not care about their own past either. They could have been mid table when you took over the job mid season but they expect the new coach to turn their fortunes around in 6 months or you are out the door.
Any coach taking a job there should make sure they have shaped their career enough and then go for the bag.

This is why I will really not want to see Fabregas coach Chelsea or any other of those clubs as his first project, I am sure he will not go to Madrid.

He's doing better at Como, and he shouldn't let the media pressure him into taking bigger risks than he should at this point in his career. Big jobs come with more responsibilities.

Look at what Lampard is doing at Coventry without all the media attention and pressure; he's getting the job done piece by piece.

Spurs fixture is not an easy one in the last rounds, but is not easy for any of the teams involved in the relegation fight so i think they are gonna be in equal position.

Round 35 away against Aston Villa
Round 36 home game against Leeds a direct rival.
Round37 away game against Chelsea who is gonna be fighting for the european spots.
Round 38 home against Everton which we dont already know what to expect from them.

What do you mean damage the little respect he still has? He is one of the brightest prospects in the coaching world right now. Tons of clubs will be lining up to get him this summer or next, I hope he makes the best move to prioritize his development.

Enzo Maresca brought Leicester City from ruin to Championship champions, Liam brought Strasbourg from mid table after the BleuCo bought it and took them to the Europa league and was already contesting for the champions league spot this season before they took him off- higher ceilings, working behind the scenes without the spotlight- hidden gems without top clubs experience.

Despite the way he left Arsenal and his stint at Chelsea, I am very fond of him, the amazing talent he was and now an amazing coach in the making. I also hope there is a possibility he coaches Arsenal at some point down the road, preferably when both parties have achieved more success.

I was not talking down on the Chelsea job, it is a big one for most coaches, just has huge pressure, undue pressure sometimes. There are clubs that allows a coach to grow into the seat. Look at Kompany at Bayern. After losing the title to Leverkusen many boards will consider sacking him, but they stuck to him and allowed him to grow his team, if that was Madrid, he will already be out the door.

I do not want Fabregas to move to a top club soon, maybe one more season at Como and then a well thought out move up.

Maybe the showdown with PSG will be his end? Although I wouldn't be surprised by anything anymore, even if he stays. If I were a Liverpool fan, I would hope that PSG would win big, because then, under public pressure, they could fire him, even if the management doesn’t want to do it now. It's clear that getting into the semi-finals would be good, but losing to PSG in an even fight with a minimal score would be both unpleasant and disadvantageous

We have not seen news of his replacement, as he will continue to sit in the Liverpool manager's chair, pressure from the public did not make the club management act.

I watched the game until the end and it was painful... people from the stadium left the field early because they knew their favorite club was humiliated.
