Like @el che mentions the boringness of Superbru means everybody is making same picks, same as me,,, especially if you are top, no reason to pick upsets or weird scores, to stay on top. And it is weird to have 60 people playing in pool but like only 5 or 10 active in discussions, partly is Superbru

I think there is still enough gap for skill to show up, I mean there is usually a wide variance in the points across the table each season and even in the top 10. In a city- Burnley game, surely kosgbwill go with the obvious, but thwrwbarr enough split games each weekend to make it exciting and show the knowledge one has on those games

I do like the simplicity of superbru compared to some of the other pools ice seen around. Maybe if I get into fantasy this season it could take the toll spot for me.

Newcastle United sacking Eddie Howe out of the blue was surprising; he was never the problem and also at the wrong time to sack a manager when everywhere is almost occupied.

Howe left - he said he needed a break even before and I assume the sales of key players helped with his decision.
I think it is announced as mutual agreement but it was him that requested the termination.

A big blow to Newcastle - Howe did a fantastic job there. They were a team in relegation struggles when he took over.

Kicktipp is a highly reliable platform supporting every league and allowing some customization of scoring rules, though its outdated interface and absence of a dedicated mobile app can feel clunky for quick picks.

I agree with your post, but about this part, are you sure? I mean i use the kicktipp app in the past for some of the Bundesliga contest, so they have one app.

I found out that kicktipp has its own app when I read your conversation 
I've always used the web version too, and I think I've only suffered from it once in 3 years - when I missed a game on Friday (or Thursday). I think the main feature of the app (SuperBru) is that it persistently sends reminders about the need to make a forecast. In fact, this is very convenient and has saved me many times. Now the game calendars have become completely crippled and games can take place not just at unusual times, but in the middle of the week (as was the case in La Liga last season).

I cant believe two experienced and specialists users like you two didnt know about the app of kicktipp, well is good to see at least my comment was usefull for something.

The kicktipp app send you reminders just one day before the first game of the round start (24hrs) and i dont remember if they also send one more just a few hours before of the round.

Yes notifications not only save you but also give you mental space in the fact of you have not to keep track of everything.

The main issue with Superbru is that if someone correctly predicts a 2-0 Man City victory, they get rewarded with the exact same points as someone who took a bigger risk and accurately called a 2-0 win in favor of Burnley. In my view that isn't fair, there is a reason odds exist in sports, calling an outcome for a big underdog is far harder and much higher risk. I understand we're trying to guess scorelines but the reward for nailing a scoreline for a major underdog should be worth more points. The lack of risk reward is why the competition isn't as exciting as it could be. If we tweaked the scoring system to give more incentives to risk takers, more players would be motivated to go for the underdog rather than copying the same safe predictable results every week. Not only would that make the pool much more entertaining but it would also make genuine predictor skill stand out far more clearly.

I believe there must have been a bit more that went down for such a decision to be reached at an awkward time in the season. For how influential he was with the team I would have loved for him to get a proper farewell at the end of last season, but even now, if this was planned right after the world cup would have been a good time to announce it with enough time to find a replacement.

I do hope the news helps convince Bruno to jump ships to London.

Yes, and while the difference isn't so critical in the short term, and the risk can be justified (for example, when you pick upset favorites and guess right, you automatically score more points than 90% of participants who made a reliable choice - with a high probability of getting a yellow cap), in the long term, betting against the favorites makes no sense at all. It is naive to expect that over a distance of 38 rounds one can predict upsets with high reliability.
By the way, it's especially funny when you guessed the favorite's failure but didn't guess the exact score and ended up earning only 1 point!

Don't you also imagine, how Manchester United and Chelsea who have spent a lot of money are not champions too? It will be more exciting than Arsenal.

I'm not sure about the Champions League, the final will be Real Madrid vs. United, and Real Madrid very rarely loses finals, especially in the Champions League

What can i say.... i feel like every year the former Manchester United stars make more and more bold no sense statements, in this case maybe they could be right but how is him so sure about it? Chelsea is building the team and we dont really know how it gonna end despite having some really good key players and a great coach.
For Manchester United the next step ahead is to fight for something after having a great season under the Carrick hands but that is more easy to say than to make it happen, and we already saw Manchester United failing each season to do so.

I understand a manager can change alot but Chelsea has one of the most unbalanced team in Europe and that itself is a bigger problem and it will take a lot of time to trime it down. I don't think Chelsea is ready to compete for the title anytime soon with what we have; we're more focused on finishing in the Top 4 lol.

It is a difficult season to predict. If United strengthens a bit at the back - I see no reason why they wouldn't be considered as contenders.

Arsenal should be the bookies' favorites - and after that it's basically impossible to separate the rest.

I'd put some money on Liverpool doing better this season - but that isn't hard to accomplish.

I looked at his other predictions, and you know, he mostly talks about Arsenal/City/Liverpool's title chances, while he's more likely to predict a top-four finish for United. Obviously, everyone's biased, but I didn't see anything particularly special in his thoughts (regarding the upcoming season). Arsenal are a meme club, I don't believe they'll repeat their success. If we leave them out, everyone else's chances really do look equal. Why, given these circumstances, can't he choose United or Chelsea?

Liverpool are this season's favourite club... Andoni Iraola will bring a new atmosphere in the premier league to come, although it looks unpromising still I love Liverpool.
