I think this can be a great coin for us miners and the community as a whole.... personally I am a little biased as my husband has terminal non hodgkins lymphoma so I want any money that can go towards research to find a cure as soon as possible!

We have all been touched by cancer in some way, so instead of turning this into a argument about whether it is a shit scam coin or not, please consider how we could help them make it work and contribute to cancer research.

If you think about it, this could actually be huge for the fundraising for cancer and also the miners.  Maybe some pools could be setup that could also donate their fees to a cancer foundation and the same with the exchanges.

Please don't write the idea off without giving it a chance.

However, I do also believe that transparency is going to have to be very important.  And proof and community announcements from the foundations that receive the funds.

I am a bookkeeper, so if I can help with some of that, please let me know!

Maybe every month, the mining community can nominate and vote on a cancer foundation that the donations are to go to for the following month.  Of course those charities are going to have to be registered charities.

Thanks for  bringing  it to our attention!
Haha! no Cancercoins ever mined yet. But I will give you a rain check. You are in the list.

I will please ask everyone else not to post the wallets in this thread. It was brought to my attention that it is not allowed. My apologies to the mods as I was not explicit enough that the giveaways will be posted  later on in a different section of the forum.

Rofo thanks for the wishes.
We not only will follow though with the ideal. We will also get many people involved into doing so. Everyone is welcome to participate  into further developing and implementing this coin. The more people involved the better!

How does one know that the funds will truly go to where you say?

of course it won't. Everyone gets that unless you have a brain tumor  Grin

Cancer is a serious subject and should not to be abused by juvenile greedies in the internet.

Domain www.cancercoin.org is HIDING behind a PROXY registration Domains By Proxy, LLC.  http://whois.domaintools.com/cancercoin.org

I will prove it is a PUMP and DUMP scam once the source code is release. It's all in the codes.

What you got to HIDE? No one is going to prosecute you or running you over if you are in fact doing it in the name of research.

Sure, in the meantime, lets us know which REAL persons you contacted in cancer institutions, so we won't have to rely just on "time" to know what kind of anonymous proxified clown we're dealing with  Grin

What do you mean by that? There is no premine what will we have to dump?
No worries about the proxy registration. Our names are stampeded on the wallets.
We would be more afraid of Big Pharma knowing who we are than the crypto community

Good night

If you could take the time to read you would probably have understood. No one was contacted. There are thousands of Cancer Institutions through out the world. The people will choose 2 who will receive a wallet. This wallet will contains very little at the beginning so we are not holding anyone else's  money. Then the wallet will be presented to whoever the people chooses (hopefully in a big event in front of the press and many people so you don't think we are keeping it). Very simple. And we are not anonymous. Our names are in the wallet. Build it and you will see.
Cheers

Here a story.

Chernobyl nuclear disaster. Recently a team went inside the nuclear plant to it clean up. The lead casing inside, some were gold. What happened was the radiation dislodged an atom or something from lead and turned it into gold. However it was no good as the gold was radioactive was would give anyone touching it cancer.

Calling it Cancercoin sound radioactive.

I would strongly urge you to change the name to CancerCureCoin (CCC). The word 'cure' is fundamental from the branding point of view.

Now The last wallet receiving 1% will be used for marketing and support to the building process of a strong currency., how long for? There has to be a limit to say 10,000 blocks. After that all 5% goes toward the charities with full transparency.

I will then support this coin as i'm sure everyone on here had someone they knew who died from cancer.

Never heard of this story but very interesting. We will take that into consideration as we agree that cure is essential to the name. Those are all good point and we accept it with open arms. We will discuss that and come up with a threshold for the 1% pre mine contribution.
I am very happy that some of you showed me your point of view and started participating. As I mentioned before this is not mine or the Dev team's coin. The more people unites, the better this can turnout.

Do think deeply.....remember it's all about semantics......cancercoin sounds like a coin with cancer......from the marketing point of view it's not good.

I'm going to send hash toward this. Relax with all the scamcoin posts. Every coin ever made is made with intention of monetary gain. The point is the claim made for this coin, if donations actually start being made to charities the price of this coin will rise, if it's a pump and dump it wouldn't gain much value to begin with.

Will there be a windows wallet released prior to the 17:00 launch? I would like to set my miners to jump on board at launch.
