There are already several cures for cancer and holistic treatments that are very effective in aiding chemo and radiation. Still the charitable coin idea is a great one. It would be nice there were a coin that donated money to all sorts of local charities and second hand shops. When someone wanted to donate, they would just buy charity tokens that would be sent to their wallet, leaving behind an encrypted public ledger. At tax time, you just go into your wallet and read the labels or encrypted subjects on all of your donations to various groups, having an easier system of receipts. That would also make it much easier to buy the coin itself by making that donation.
If demand for the altcoin goes up, much of the value is sent out from the miners to special charity wallets.
+1 Agree 100% Limiting the coin to cancer isn't the best idea, naming the coin CharityCoin or CaringCoin (my two favorites  ) and not solely focusing on cancer would allow the coin to broaden its horizons and help many causes. I, like so many others have lost family to cancer, but I wouldn't want to limit the coins potential to help other causes for that reason. I would like to see a coin which charities the world over can turn to for help and support to raise money, weather the cause is to raise money for a water well or to help cure a disease. |

Thanks Twisted. Any help will be greatly appreciated. We were thinking we should settle this by the weekend. So what about we start a poll to gather more name suggestions and by Friday we start another poll so people can choose their favorite name. Sounds like a good plan to me I want to say I'm very excited about this coin, it really is refreshing to see something original with a real set of goals and principles. Once we're ready with a new name we can start promoting, a great new promotion site is https://www.thunderclap.it/ it allows us to spread the word about the coin and its goals. My friend and I would also like to set up a pool and would love to kick it off with CCC, however we might need a little help from you and Matt, I'll PM you with my Skype and email details and we can maybe talk about that and other ways we can do to help get this great concept of the ground. |
