First of all, I’ll say that I’m confident that BTC will reach new heights, however, I think that this new growth in an upcoming bull market won’t be as rapid as it was in 2017. There are some reasons:

1) In 2017 majority of people just knew about a revolutionary blockchain technology, and was fascinated by it. Nowadays there is a different situation — this word is now on hearing and people won’t go here just for a new technology

2) In 2017 people knew Bitcoin only from his growth-side. If the crisis of 2013 was recalled, it seemed like something long forgotten. Now every newcomer will remember crisis of 2018 and will think 100 times before investing big money here.

3) From the technical point, the price grew in a free flight —  there were no any resistance levels. Now, after this market dump, there are a lot of resistance levels have been appeared and the price will have to break all of them

4) Probably, many of people who now have minus balances will want to exit of crypto to fix their funds from losses as soon as they became green.

there were many aspects that affected in the past year there was a lot of positive news in the media and moreover we just experienced halving before. there were many supporting factors in the past year which made prices skyrocket. whereas in 2018. conditions have changed starting from the ban on crypto use in Asian countries. We did not want it to grow fast but stable. If bitcoin can be stable in pricing there is no way people will not like to use it as money or currency. Slow and steady grow is better in long run, we all agree about that, just that will not happen with bitcoin. As much as we wish stability that will not come, bitcoin price volatility will not end anytime soon. Article is some kind of history review, writer have some prediction based on that, but we all have that. I don't agree with about next bull run, it will be more maniac than the ones from last year. I have some arguments too, what we have seen last year was the product of people, here and there, some companies, but what we will see in next bull run will be much bigger, when some huge companies get in for real in bitcoin, when bitcoin gets adopted by many countries. I mean the enviromental conditions are like the political conditions that are happening on crypto, the news about crypto at that time, the trend that is happening and many other things certainly that affects the price at that time right, yeah the user's confidence really affects so we see that too
