Good day, just want to share my experience,
I am using 2fa as my security in my emails and exchange accounts, so one day I nearly lost my phone and that phone holds majority of my pins, 2fa, etc. so I thought I lost all, luckily I found the phone. So now I'm thinking of buying an extra phone for backup. What else do you recommend for backup?

It depends on the website honestly. If the website uses google 2fa, then you can easily back that up. There is another application for both iOS and Android (Called Authy) which actually stores all your 2FA based on your account, so even if you lose your phone, you can just log into the website and either get the 2fa codes there, or restore it to another phone, and it works fine.

Personally. All the websites that I use 2fa on also have an option to text the info to me. So worst case scenario, I lose my phone. I can get a new phone, port my number over, and get the 2fa sent there, which i can then use to log in and disable 2fa and then redo it from scratch. Almost any website that uses 2fa as an application (google authenticator or w/e) also has the option to send you the same code over text message. If the website doesn't do that, I consider it a bit of a dangerous game to play.

Just have a secure place to safeguard the details of your wallet. In particular the recovery words or the phrase. Recently in a wallet I had 0.1btc, and got hacked. Someone took it into control and they didn't transferred the bitcoin. If I had the recovery words I could have recovered it. To my bad luck I've lost the recovery words.

I was thinking about it also. Its really hard if you lost your phone with important details regarding your investments. I am not that techie if ever i lost my phone this might be a disaster for me. Maybe i will use the phone of my wife as my back up if somethings happen. And also back in email would be nice too. Using some hardware wallets is also a good option especially if you have big amount coins. Hackers will do anything just to have easy money.

That's a lesson learned for you that don't just put everything on a single phone, recovery phrases, seeds, private keys and of the same must be backed up.

Having an extra phone is a good idea and you can leave the other one at your home while bringing the other one.

Writing up those important words on a piece of paper is an easy, simple and cheap way of backing up.

2fa is essential to our accounts most especially in exchange accounts. Back up on our 2fa is the best thing to do and a must to ensure the security of our accounts. Now that you know how important it is to have a back up on your accounts, then be responsible for that.

Backing up data is important so that we can restore it to factory settings if you replace damaged or corrupted mail addresses, which will help protect your data from being lost or lost in the field. not worth it

Just backup the qr code or the string that is given to you at the initialization of 2fa. You dont need to have two phones that way, you can just replicate from your stored seeds
It would be wise do do it so, but i have to admit i didnt do it. I should one of these days

Yes I agree on that. Back up is really important in order for us not to loss a huge amount of profit. Because some code is really important hear in crypto feild we can be failed on it if we don't make an important bad up on every code on different transaction. We need to make back up for good and for our security.

For me even if you have just one smart phone you can make a back up you can write in the note book, on paper and in your diary and keep it important to backing up your Private key or QR code and Gmail. So even if you still have the phone you can still access it using a laptop or computer you will not worry that others might get your bitcoin. But your plan is good too i'm just try to give you some idea how to secured your data. good luck!

Do you think the backup is as important as if you had a transaction? If the backup does not have that feature then all transactions will not be recorded and the data will lose their functionality. And we will not be able to restore them

Not only that but also wallet backup too, because i also have the same experience when my pc crashed and must format it and i never had a backup of those wallet. I lose around 0.2 BTC because of it, and some altcoins too. Lesson learned though, backup your wallet before something bad happen.

Well if you have a money you should buy another cellphone, if you don't have the better you should write in a paper or print your private key, seeds etc just in case that your phone will loss.

Yeah, you don't need to have a new phone just to backed up do this and you will be safe.
I personally don't use 2fa since I don't have much wallet and I know my email will be safe with the password I used but yeah I think this is really important, I will also start knowing how to use this security.

Backup is very important incase of missing your passwords or etc.  Backup is useful especially on Cryptocurrency Wallet. There's a lot of backups like 15 words or 12 words and pins.  Sometime using backup makes us feel easy because when we lost our primary passwords that's the time to use our backup. Backup is important.

Old ways still the best way to keep your back ups, this process even it will take time but what important is you still have control if ever that you lose your phone, buying another one for back up also can't assured you since there's also things to consider, what if your phone got damage or what if it was stolen from your house, same scenario that not too often to happen but also still possible, writing everything inside your diary or even in a notebook that you can kept inside your room or closet will be fine.

as much as possible should have many backups, from other phones, from pc / laptop, and also would be better if there are offline backups that you note on the paper. because the anticipation of loss of mobile phone or damage is very important to have a backup.
