In my area there is a rule that if people are gathered in a meeting then all the mobile phone collected, so that no one is playing with his cell phone.

I keep trying to do this, I have a non-smartphone that I use for calls (I want a landline but can't since I'm in student accommodation at uni) but the thing that keeps dragging me back to getting my iPhone out again is my friends get annoyed that I can't respond to them quickly... I haven't used social media like Facebook, Instagram etc. in a year so that's not a problem, it's things like iMessage. A small example is my mum sends me a photo of my dogs every morning and little bitstrips things but when I turned iMessage off she was sad that she couldn't send them. I know I'm doing this for me and other people shouldn't stop me but, it kind of does.

Of course, we are all very dependent on our phones because it is very convenient, but at least when you need to rest from it more often to leave at home and go for a walk yourself.

A phone is just a tool, you can be addicted to apps or sites that provide you entertainment, that's how i think about it.

No, I'm not. It will cause big to your body, it so unhealthy when you always hold it because of it radiation. I do hold it when I had a time to check some important messages or emails.

The most of the people say that the smartphones exist to give others their undivided attention, but what they don't know that using the phones during social events actually diminishes them own experience of those events. So this tool is responsible for our unsatisfying social interactions.

We are really addicted to our phones? What can we do? What you can do when you keep your phone on and what you do on usually?

Yeah man, I surely am. There is always some app that needs checking on.
I guess the tech is killing us slowly. We don't do regular things anymore, we just glare at our tiny screens. It's pathetic but were living like that.

I walked out of restaurant one time with my wife and saw a bunch of 60 year olds with their heads in their phones while waiting for seating.

My wife noticed it also.

We have never been like that for some reason. My computer is for work my phone is for calls. Even if it is a smart phone.
