it's nearly like pool mining

istead the pool you connect to the localhost-wallet and you get the block-reward alone instead of all pool-workers
And in terms of coin profit, what's more profitable? Or is the difference minimal?

If you have high hash power than solo mining is better if you can compete with others.

But if you are average or slow, defiantly go into a pool, because solo mining would be like winning the lottery trying to find a block.

Is there an IRC? how will we know the second its open?

There is a countdown on the first page, I have it open. When it hits 0 I'll post the password above the download links & pushing the github source out 1 minute before launch.

I have 2 rigs. #1 2.82 Mhs #2 1.28Mhs. You think they both have enough hash for solo or should I hit up a pool. I was thinking #1 solo #2 on a pool. Figure I got my bases covered if pools have problems.

http://www.xhash.net/ is stratum+tpc://pool.xhash.net:3341 CORRECT or will it change until launch?

correct, it won't be changed

Very nice. Thanks to support the community with your pool.
Lets find these blocks. I hope no fake pool who starts before official
launch like on the RPD launch.

Let hope this doesn't start out like a lot of coins with big loads at launch, and start forking right away!!
it will, if one of the pools is more than 51% of the net hashrate it is very possible to happen, we will see how much MHs will Xhash collect, I am in, with 4 MHs and aprox 10 more...

...but why the clock shows that i am in Dublin, i am not in Dublin, i am in Sofia, so do i have to wait one more hour for the start...?? hmmmz

The only issue with solo mining is there is no longpoll support unless your miner program supports it (I know cgminer does not) so that means you won't be able to mine as fast as others that do have longpoll support, I know there is a way to point your miner locally, but also add the pool's address to get longpoll support with cgminer, so that's always an option, I can't go into detail as I normally just mine in pools, try googling it Smiley

Hello Guys,

I am new with this coin (like everybody else Wink ). But do you think it is more profitable on launch than MAX currently is?

And is this pool a good one? http://www.xhash.net/index.php?page=home

You never know until it hits an exchange in a few days to a few weeks (assuming it gets that far).

I'm going with xhash ... seems to be the best pool available right now.

Yeah Im not smart enough for that  Embarrassed .. and besides I'm mining remotely from work in a parking booth Smiley Thanks for the heads up about cgminer not supporting longpoll. Lets hope the pools are good to go. I need some more failovers but only one pool open for registration. I generally stay away from copyright infringed coins but I think this one has some chance.
