Or know the criteria for how the stake weight is calculated??? and how much is paid out when you hit a stake reward?

Minimum stake age of 24 hours. Stake age calculated like always, with every block, more confirmations better. At this moment Network weight is  almost 6 785 000.
For good stake rewards better minimum 1000 coins, you can run your wallet once in 3-5 days, after PoS rewards send coins to your own address to get 1 inputs again.

One of the beauty is that,  your required percentage to hold is calculated from the total amount to AD given to you.  So,  you don't need to buy and leveraged with those that got from AD1 till date
