So Ive seen many people comment on there being "trash coin' put into the market.

I dont think people understand the beauty of what this could do.  I created a coin (and paid for the full version)  for the followign purpose:

I own a RP Sim on Second LIfe. The biggest issue is to being able to reward active roleplayers without openong myself to the "linden miners" who use repeating gestures to try to cheat the system.

Creating a virtual currency is one solution, though I could just "create" it on paper.. but then it holds no intricate value. So I create a bitcoin clone using this service, which means my "virtual currency" now has a limit to how much can exist. (a good way to keep inflation from taking effect)

Since I then can set everything on the sim to require this new coin for rentals and such, i can set the value of 1 coin to SL Lindens.  Immediately my coins have a value, even if it is one ive set myself, and used in a limited circumstance.  Now, those who rp on the sim have an incentive to use the coin, and to mine more of their own, as mining it woudl equal free rentals for them.  I could also take bitcoin in payment flor some of this currency to be used on the sim.

So now, you got a created coin, with a created market for that coin, with a value set.

So, what happens if my sim becomes very large and popular?  Enough users of the coin means it would be listed on the exchange, meaning then the value of the coin will be floated

If it doesn't become popular?  I still have an internal currency system that doesn't affect the greater alt-coin network.

Now, for you ingenious people.. extend that to apps for phone, or face book.

Imagine creating a game where the "premium" currency used to get items (you know, the stuff you normally have to pay real cash for) is this alt-coin YOU created, that people can spend bit coin or cash to purchase.  Imagine if your game becomes so popular, that people wanted to trade that on the markets.

Just how much you think a company like zynga could make if they created their own alt-coin that people could mine and use, that could be used to purchase premium items in their games, JUSt on the trading market?

Some things to think about before you talk about this service only able to create trash coins Smiley

It seems like you need more like "cryptocurrency consulting".

Hello everyone, I'm relatively new to the Bitcoin world and cryptocurrencies.
Today I created a free coin test (SHA-256) on this site and it seems to work fine but I have a couple of questions ...
If I create a coin, after a month owner shutdown the seed node, and if I do not have alternate nodes dies network of my money? Or just that one user keeps open the wallet to keep it active? I've see Amazon EC2 but it's free limited only for first year.
Then I tried to configure bfgminer but I could not get it to work to undermine this money and I am limited to undermine through windows wallet, you know how to configure bfgminer? I used to start.bat file for other currencies but not using a pool for this do not know how you configure it.

If your coin does not have any users after the one month it dies. Nothing you can do about. You can use the dns seed or just add nodes in the config file you distribute alongside the wallet like any other cryptocurrency does.

Mining with with e.g. bfgminer is simple. It's just that you have to use solo minining instead of pooled mining. So basically just connect to the rpc port of your wallet. Given the rpc port is open on port 21001:
Code:
bfgminer -o http://localhost:21001 -u bullshitcoin -p bullshitpassword --coinbase-addr 19Qxh6GzoHjHNnFTiTPaTkvFZtwmosp1Cv --coinbase-sig "anything here"
The username and password are obviously the rpc credentials you specify in the conf file. All in all: check out the documentation of your favourite miner for solo mining.
I am actually looking for a coin programmer.

Serious serious inquiries only. be prepared to provide me a criminal background check.

Nofyah
I could be interested but you have to be more specific. I can't provide you any background checks. (How could I???)

Please help me. I am desperated.

I generated a coin and want to use my KNJ Jupiter to mine.

I edited the coin.conf file to:

rpcuser=testcoin
rpcpassword=testpass
addnode=54.194.99.126
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcallowip=Miner IP
rpcport=9902
daemon=1
server=1
listen=1
gen=0

In cgminer settings of KNC Jupiter I set:
Pool: PC IP:9902
user= rpcuser
pass= rpcpassword

Save + restart miner = Connect to Miner API failed

What did I miss ? Sorry, I am a dummy.
Any help appreciated...

Just keep in mind that you have to solo mine, not "pool mine".

I have created a tutorial on that maybe it will help you.

I know that tutorial but my miner seems to work different, I can not use those commands used for Windows bfgminer.
