I spent the last couple hours confirming I have the info I need to be able to reprogram the pic firmware.  Whether it works in the particular case / problem you have is a different issue.  It will take a little more work than I had hoped (my code needs more refactoring as the S9 and T9's talk to the pic in a different way).  I don't know that I will get it done today, but I will continue to work on it.

i hope you done this. you can reach me by amir_new_cents[at]yahoo[dot]com

On the plus side if it works. The bmminer I made allows you to overclock it haha. It's the same firmware as the 8.8v for the s9 just for the T9 firmware hopefully darval will be able to help you out!

Your welcome man trying what I can to save you from buying a logic board and that idiot that made that dollz firmware came out and said they never even tested it on a t9+. If anyone can do it it's darval.

Hi great job with the firmware!

Ive managed to change the bmminer to 8.8v 9v and changing back to original. Its an 13.5th with 1600w bitmain psu

At first it worked great with the 8.8v 725mhz. Temperature around
93-97c.

Then it just stopped hashing after a few hours and playing around with the miner.

It works for 3-4 min then it stops to hash. In the log ut says to high temperature. And then all of a sudden i starts to get "lost connection" i have other miners on the same Network and they still work.

Does anyone see anything strange in the log?
Thanks for all the help. Smiley and keep up the work with the coding!

[...]

Try to lower the frequency or use the 9v instead of the 8.8v if your using the 13.5th you got to see which works best.

That is really odd as your miner is not overheating if it was in the 90s as it is set to thermal throttle at 110C.

here my current T9+ full kernel log

[...]

maybe help

Well it is now running the proper bmminer as it is reporting

Code:
Miner Type = T9+

You going to have to hope darval can make it work all the errors are about the software on the pic of the hashboards.

Hi, thank you very much for that firmware. I did some testing with 880mV version and measured the energy consuption at the wall using energy meter. Not sure if it is super accurate, but its just for comparsion. I'm running all miners in oil, but PSU (original bitmain 1600W) are outsite and ambient temp is quite high (35C/95F during day now), therefore I'm not going to run those PSUs at 120%.

S9i (running its original autotune FW)
stock 14TH@1450W
- 675MHz 14.5TH@1530W
- 725MHz 15.6TH@1650W
- 750HHz 16.1TH@1710W - I will be running this setting, HW errors in single digits per hour
- 775MHz 16.7TH@1770W

S9 (original autotune FW, 03/2018 batch I think)
stock 13,8TH@1480W (900mV,900mV,910mV)
- 700MHz 15TH@1580W
- 725MHz 15.6TH@1650W
- 750MHz 16.1TH@1700W

Interesting thing for me is, that temperature on those S9i increased only about 1-degrees, but on S9 it is now +20C (61->81). Do you have any idea why? Does it have something to do with "TempTypeID=1a middle offset=-51"? Maybe those older boards should have different offset?

Also, will you be so kind and compile 870mV FW and put it on github? I would love to try lower voltage and higher clock speed, as I'm oil-cooling it I have no problems with overheating.

Darval please help is out. Taserz please put a disclaimer to everyone not to try the T9+ firmware overclock as it ruins some of the chains in some way.
Two of miners went out the same way and no matter of resetting can undo the damage. On the other hand, your overclock firmware for S9i worked well.

Why would I put a disclaimer? If you read the thread the guy flashed some other guys firmware and bricked his t9+ and mentioned it here. We are just trying to fix it. Our modification didn't brick his T9+ nor will it even run properly since it is defined in bmminer for an s9 only. The T9+ firmware I built for him is almost the same as the factory in hopes the malicious bmminer was the issue but it is not.

Yes I will do it later tonight or in the morning.

I noticed your s9i and s9 run the same wattage at 72MHz What is funny though I run my S9i 14th unit at 800mhz on a 1600w psu and it runs just fine without tripping the psu.

It was made for a user that their bmminer for t9+ was flashed with S9 firmware. But yes it should work with the T9+ since it only has the few changes as the s9 but I compiled it for the T9+ definitions.

oh, understand.

and want to ask the T9+ can overclock?

and how to setup S9 with original hashrate integrate a dev fee

You run 800MHz @9V right? I guess my meter would measure like 1900W. I might try that once ambient temps are lower.

I have another question. One of my S9 (01/2018 batch) is having trouble to keep up hashing on 2 boards above 700MHz. It is hashing, but RT is much lower than ideal. Is there some tool for S9 like for A3/D3 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4032178.0) which can increase PIC voltage on specific board? Thank you.

That can be done with a modification it is a work in progress.

The T9+ can but I am not sure how much nor would I recommend it since they hash quite a bit slower as it is.
