This is a good question. Has anyone else looked into this, and are you wasting your time OCing these units?
It's only profitable if you already have cheap power to begin with.

How lucky have you guys been with undervoltage? How low can you get, how efficient can you be while keeping the default frequency?

i tried up to 400Mhz... Stayed 103 watts per terahsh. (on a 13.5T machine, running 880 software) It was my idea as well, underclocking, and freeing up power, so be able to put more machines.... darn.. My power line is full, can't add any more...

Hey guys, I have got 2 quite good binned miners. With the original fixed FW I am getting better results than with bmminer890. How can I check what voltage the original bmminer uses?

ok, tested this bmminer on 20 my s9 asics 13.5T and 14.0T, so 15 works w/o any issues with bmminer880: overclocked up to 15T, 5 rest asics show 98-105C with bmminer880, replaced it with bmminer890 = 3 started to work good, rest 2 asics still work incorrectly with all bmminer versions (show chip temp over 100C even with stock 630 freq)

T9+ is annoying to overclock and honestly not worth it. Don't do it also this one won't work.

if I can allow myself, Original T9 + = 10.5Ths ==> 1450W at wall 220v My T9 + = 12.5Ths ==> 1400W at wall 220V Its worth it 2Th free! ? Regards: p But I agree 100% not to mount Bmminer S9 that VERY strongly risk giving the error "PIC Error" and brick one or more hash board ...

power wise i agree, its not advised, but sometimes there are good reasons to do so. Is there a way to get 14TH out of it?

I mean sure if you have really cheap power but you would need sub 4 cent power as efficiency goes out of whack on them.

That's impressive, can you give more details, volts you used, clocks you used? Anyone did the same with S9?

Hey guys. Further findings: Right now I am trying to find the sweet spots for the miners. I tuned the S9s individually and I am using bmminer 880 and 890, depending on chip quality. The 14.0 TH models run at 787,5 - 800 Mhz and draw between 1800 and 1830W. I managed to draw up to 1930W from an AWP3++ PSU, but thats too near at the safety shutdown point. The range for safety shutdown seems to be between 1870 and 1950W at least for my AWP3++.
Question: Would you prefer nealry 0 HW errors and lose about 0.2 TH or go with the HW errors? I try keeping the HW errors very low because I assume it affects the hashrate more than the extra 0.1-0.2 TH. What do you say?
