People buy lottery ticket all the time, that’s total fine, spending $5 here and there for fun. But if you mortgage your house to buy lottery tickets you are crazy.

Same thing with bitcoin. Spend a few grand for chuckle is fine, chances are you won’t see your money again. Heck I would pick up a few bitcoins too when it drops below $100.

If you spent your life savings buy Bitcoin, get out now while you still have something left! New crypto currencies are coming to replace BTC. Stop torment yourself everyday watching your money goes into red day after day after weeks after months.... you will spend your retirement working at McDonald’s trying to earn it back!

I see resentment speaking for you. Because the prices are dropping it doesn't mean they won't grow again. If you can't imagine that, then why are you even here? Just go to buy your lottery ticket if you think it's same

I agree, you can invest but do not use all your money, you have to leave a little for your own needs, something stupid when boldly sell all the assets that have to play in the world of crypto.

we all take risk in life but when we take risk let us take a smart one. investing all your life saving is not wise. I will you cope with difficulty that comes when you lose your money. A few month ago I read a comment about an ICO investors on telegram talking about How He lost his retirement money on Denaro Scam. he felt depressed and he was thinking of suicide. for me I do not think it is a wise decision to do that. putting all your saving on bitcoin is not ok as well

Maybe you're right sooner or later other cryptocurrencies will replace the lead of bitcoin someday, but it seems like and i feel you are only here to spread some fud  Grin, you are not concern at all in my opinion.
With the current struggle that bitcoin is involved that is still on going honestly it hurts so bad. But I don't think if it will kill our savings let's not forget the capability of bitcoin tototo overcome this kind of problem. I know that time will come for bitcoin to rise up again and make a comeback. It hurts but worth the wait.
Honestly it hurts real bad and I'm so affected by the fact that bitcoin is in big trouble. ItsIt's getting into every single day but I don't lose hope and still believe that bitcoin will overcome this. There's still hope left for me andto I have a faith for bitcoin. It's worth a shot to trust bitcoin because I know the capability of it to handle this kind of trouble.

Smart people buy lottery ticket now and then, nothing wrong in that, but also smart people invest only what they are willing to lose. Your post also show you are just one of week hands on which big players make fortune these days. If you invest in BTC when price was 10 000+ $ your coins are lost value, but you still have them and their value may increase in a few months or maybe years, so nothing is lost.

On the other hand if someone believes that BTC will die again, like is dying xxxx times in last 9 years it is better to sell and solve the everyday concerns about working at McDonald’s to the end of life.

You see stories of people selling their house just to buy Bitcoin, just like this guy from The Netherlands:
http://uk.businessinsider.com/didi-taihuttu-sold-everything-for-bitcoin-fans-2017-12?r=US&IR=T

He's living with his family on a campsite, waiting for the next crypto boom.

I personally think he's stupid and the fact that he's done this while he has children is pretty appalling.
What if there's a sudden medical emergency, causing him to have to pay thousands of euros? Even with a decent healthcare system, that's still possible.

I think that getting out of Bitcoin when it's at a minimum is not reasonable.
Everyone should know that it is impossible to make a profit without taking risks, so do not invest all the savings and spend money on a sedative.

You need to invest wisely, the amount of money will not be critical for your life.

Lol...very funny indeed. So why are you here? Anyways do you know that getting out of Bitcoin is likely to be equivalent to getting out of crypto. How many of those new currencies you're talking about have actually made a great surpass against Bitcoin. Everything depends on BTC for survival so as for me, I'm for team Bitcoin. Every other alt is alternative. Anyways the alts are good but BTC holds the dominance (we need to accept that fact).

Haha I guess you are a "buy high, sell low" type of person ha? Tongue You have to see the bigger picture and you are clearly lacking on that. I do have to agree with you that people should only invest what they can lose and not 100% of their life savings... that is just plain dumb.

To invest in BTC more than you can afford tto lose is insane and should be strictly avoided. This being said, I don't think they won't get their money back. BTC will enjoy new bull runs.

it's a big mistake you make for gambling because in gambling if we're not lucky then we'll go bankrupt, better in this investment we do for our future and find a profitable investment place is not a disadvantage.
Yes, it is big mistake you make gambling not all people are lucky in gambling it may loose your money and brings you bankruptcy,  it's better to invest cause here you have a chance to become successful in the future.

Bitcoin now start rising and even you discourage us to invest in bitcoin we will continue because we know bitcoin has a bright future. But of course in investing this very risky world of bitcoin be a wise men. just invest the amount that you can afford to loss and can't affect too much in your life if ever. Bitcoin is volatile,we can't predict the exact price of it if it going up or down. That's why don't put all your eggs in one basket.

I think when we invest our money for buying BTC, then our money will not be lost. we are just waiting for bullish market.

hacking is a risk every bitcoin user has to face, but I think preventive action can stop hacking and profit will pay for that risk.

If you are skeptic about bitcoin then its up to you on how to measure yourself with how much you can invest with it.

This is we are advising that only invest what you afford to lose but if you think that there will be a new coin that will replace bitcoin on its place, what it would be? tell us.

It has been told that it will be replaced by this, by that but what happened? bitcoin has been conquering all of those things and remained good up to now.

Losing life savings on bitcoin? what you can say about this family?

The Netherlands man who sold everything for bitcoin calls it the best decision he ever made — and now he's swarmed by fans who agree

This family bet it all on bitcoin

This happened last year.

I totally agree with you. It's rule number one to invest only money you don't need in real life and even if it's lost you wouldn't get problems for this loss. Second one is not to put all egs into one basket. Sure, it's bad to lose money, but if you are afraid of losses, the crypto market is not the right thing. We all know it's a high risk investment, not only if the coins are almost worthless, also if you get hacked or if you send it to the wrong address. I see lots of people investing in ICOs using exchange wallets and they are not ERC20 compatible, means you have not your private keys and can't access your tokens.
That's bad and to avoid such losses it's important to avoid beginners mistakes. There are enough weaknesses in price and also scammers so this market is definitely for risk-taking people.

what comes to people for them to sell their life belongings for bitcoins which is highly risk investment without any certainty?. It is better to trade in bitcoins and make profit from the rise and fall of it price than holdl.

Investing in bitcoin it's people choices. If people want to invest their savings money to cryptocurrency is danger because possible to lost. If you invest last few months because of that you lose some of your money.

I feel sad for for the person experiencing this! It is a cardinal principle in investing not to put all your eggs in one basket and there is a very deep meaning to that! When people get greedy of money they tend to be irrational and do these sort of narrow minded thing which will eventually hurt them in the long run. Before investing in a high volatile instruments like cryptocurrencies one has to get a good education about what he/she is getting into.
