Is USDT Tether safe?

For a long term hodl, I would suggest you diffrent one. From centralized stable coin I would believe USDC from Coinbase or Gemini USD. And from decentralized one the best choice is of course DAI, DeFi project created on Ethereum.

Personally, I periodically had doubts related to those litigations which, over and over again, had to be resolved by the company owning Tether. However, the latest news made me especially happy. It turns out that in the latest trial of Bitfinex and Tether, all claims from the court were withdrawn, which once again tells us that the company coped with difficulties, which means it increased its level of trust.

To be honest I have my doubts as well and it is why from time to time the price of tether goes down and it is not as stable as you may think because those rumours begin to become stronger, in fact there are rumours the reason we had a bull market in 2017 was because a huge amount of tether was printed, I do not know if it is true but those are the kind of things people say, so if you are worried about it then you should never hold any tether for any significant amount of time.

At present many exchangers provide deposit facilities with credit cards so that we can transact using fiat money. Maybe Tether or other stable coins are safe but using fiat directly in my opinion is quite safe

In my opinions that is not because of USDT. Bitcoin pumped because lot of new holders are bought bitcoins in stored on their hard wallets and keep holding for long term. USDT was stable coin they printed a new USDT because they supply was not enough that is only the reason why they always printing a USDT. I hope this is cleared.

There is no exchange that doesn't list USDT for trading suppose on their platform, its wildly supported and if its not trusted many won't be using it to trade anymore, its a trusted stable coin even if its centralized like many claimed, I've never heard of any strange review about the coin once

No need to worry about that. tether has made more product called XAUT and that means this company is really serious to continue its business in the stable coin. Im still using it right now and i never get even a small problem. As long as we are using it on the big exchange site and we have always the time to liquidate it into another asset.

I think trading on Tether tokens is very safe and clearly stable, just like the tokens you mentioned, because USDT, TUSD, and USDC are both stable tokens that were born through the dollar platform, and are clearly very safe for everyone who wants to trade them.

I have been using USDT for trading as well as storing some and I have never had any issue so far. There have been many news about it, but yet it is out there doing well, I can't be mistaken for regarding it as one of the best stablecoins. Almost every trader uses it on daily basis and so far there have not been any unfriendly report about it. So for my own understanding, USDT is still safe to use as well as safe for holding. There also other stablecoins out there one can chose from, it mustn't really be USDT but as for me USDT looks better.
