Thank for the work over the past few months.

Can I withdraw any remaining balances straight to exchange wallets? Or do I need to download each coins qt wallet?

After going over the options and looking at the effective profitability, I've finally come to a conclusion on the future of ScryptGuild.  As it currently exists, ScryptGuild will still be around for likely 1-2 more months.  Over that time period, I'm going to be working on BTC Guild and adding in Scrypt mining directly to BTC Guild instead of running them as two separate sites.

However, this eventual merger will NOT be a multicoin switching pool like ScryptGuild.  The sheer number of crappy coins out there, with hardforks every other week for one of them, and extremely slim (if any) profit margins over just straight LTC/DOGE mining is not worth it, and it's only getting worse as time goes on.

Once merged, BTC Guild's scrypt mining platform will only include DOGE and LTC.  Profit switching will be available between the two, but there will not be an auto-convert feature.  The one benefit to merging it directly into BTC Guild is significantly more awareness of the existence of a BTC Guild based scrypt pool.  I would expect the total scrypt hash rate to probably end up higher on BTC Guild than ScryptGuild has achieved, making LTC more reasonable to mine.

ScryptGuild was a project I put off for over a year, and unfortunately by the time I acted on it (mostly for a personal pet project), the profitability in multicoin switching was already sliding down drastically.  At this point it is not worth the time it would require to keep up with every shitcoin that launches/becomes profitable.  There are much better options for where to focus my efforts than a dying niche.

With all that said, I will say again:  ScryptGuild itself will still be around for at least 1-2 more months, with all features continuing to function normally.  Once I have the interface rigged up for BTC Guild to support the altcoins I will post additional news about the timeframe for ScryptGuild's closing.

hmmm... well scyptguild has been doing me pretty well. I am planning to buy some those scrypt asics soon. I do agree with you about LTC and DOGE being the only coins worth mining. I mine LTC to keep and DOGE to sell for btc. although i do cpu mine FTC. My personal opinion about alt coins is they are good for mining to sell for BTC and thats pretty much all they good for... lol. that's just what i think about them lol.

Meanwhile, LTC/DOGE are the most profitable Scrypt coins the *majority* of your time spent mining
I thought WDC was doing pretty well?  I seem to be getting plenty of payments for those, while I have had no LTC earnings for quite a while.

The pool applies a penalty to LTC because the difficulty is so high in comparison to the pool speed.  Most users complained very loudly when the pool went hours without any coins to show for it.  If that penalty was removed, it would probably be 90%+ of our time spent on DOGE+LTC.  Right now we hit WDC mostly as a result of the DOGE difficulty adjusting fairly quickly.

Eleuthria, been noticing the drop in hashrate over the last week is this due to the fact that you will not be updating much and merging?
I plan to keep my rigs pointed at scryptguild everything has been paying me out perfect.
Thanks for all your hard work.

Yes, I'm sure it's related to the news that the pool won't be seeing a bunch of new coins pop up.

Just to be clear, the merge will not happen on short notice.  The current plan is once I have BTC Guild's frontend ready for allowing Scrypt coins as well as BTC, I will post a notice on ScryptGuild stating that the pool is now available on BTC Guild, and is recommended for all users.  At that point, I will give people one full month to clean out any remaining balances on ScryptGuild.  The ScryptGuild pool will still be operational during that time to give users time to move over.  The pool server (not the web server) will turn off one week before the site shuts down.

I'm expecting this will probably happen around May 1st - May 7th, meaning the site will remain available until June 1st - June 7th.  I'm pretty slow when it comes to website design, especially when I've been extremely happy with how BTC Guild's frontend has worked out.  I don't want the merger to disrupt/alter the interface for users that are not interested in it, so I have to be very careful with how/where the integration shows up.

One of Scryptguild's greatest features for me has been one URL for my miners and the ability to change coins with my workers. If I wanted to mine DOGE exclusively, I can just switch my workers over instead of changing every miner to a different port. Does anyone know of a pool that operates the same way? ...and, will the new scrypt capabilities at BTCGuild work the same way?

Yes, the Scrypt mining on BTC Guild will be the same.  You would point your miners at (example): scrypt.btcguild.com:3334.  By default it will automatically pick LTC or DOGE based on current profitability.  However, you will have a setting on your workers to switch between Auto, DOGE, and LTC just like you would on ScryptGuild.

Since we have to convert manually, what is a good exchange for LTC and Doge?  I've been using BTC-e but they don't do Doge.  Is Cryptsy good?

Put something in my tip jar if I made your day. Smiley

I use Mintpal for Doge buying/selling.  I would avoid Cryptsy at all costs.  I still have a ticket open for missing Aurora Coin deposits back from February.

One thing that was nice to have on ScryptGuild was getting to see the hash speed of a coin. like if I want to see the speed of WDC I could,
but not long after ScryptGuild opend that want bye bye Sad why is that? Huh ?

The pool started to mine LTC very frequenly, despite the hash rate was much lower than in the past when LTC was not mining at all, and it is a complete waste of time and resources since whole shifts doesn't get a single block, even when LTC is mined half the time.
I know you don't want to make enhancements to the pool, but please at least get rid of LTC or fix whatever limited LTC mining in the past.

It also doesn't look like it's auto-converting LTC either.

LTC auto convert should kick in next hour.  I was not expecting the pool to hit multiple LTC blocks so the balance on BTC-e was not topped up.

How do I withdraw a small amount to empty the wallet?
0.00141962  I need to withdraw that amount.  When I set the auto withdrawl to .0001 it reverted to 0.
I am sure I am messing up some where.  I could not find the manual withdraw button.
