Any news on when the change over is going to happen?
It's been pushed back a little bit due to illness. It will be announced clearly on the website when it happens. Feel better dude. -Dave

I've disabled LOT now.
Is it possible to add some more coins to scryptguild to be mined? I know there was an announcement that several were removed on april 1st, but is there any chance to add some more in? I ask because profit calculators show that some of the newer coins are the most profitable scrypt coin to mine (from time to time). I love scrypt-guild, I just want to make sure it remains the most profitable place to mine.

If you read back the past few pages, you will see that eleuthria announced that Scryptguild will be closing soon, with the scrypt mining functions transferred to BTCguild and restricted to LTC and DOGE. I doubt that he is going to add new coins at this late stage.

Oh wow I didn't see that Scryptguild was going to close. I liked having all the coins that were on there and was hoping more would be added.
Is there anything we as users can do to help to keep the site running?

I don't see anything about this "closure" on the scryptguild news page, are we sure this is legit announcement?

ScryptGuild as it exists is being closed. Dogecoin and Litecoin mining, with profit switching between the two, will be merged into BTC Guild. Exact timing is not yet known, but there will be adequate warning on the website when it is finally finishing up. Illness and a few other unexpected circumstances have pushed back the expected date of the merge of the sites.

i have notice the profitability of the alt coins has gone down a lot. it takes about twice the time it used too from time scyptguild started until now to earn the same amount of bitcoins. i think the mining world changed some with the invention of scrypt asics.
It's more due to the mass adoption of multicoin profit switching. There simply aren't as many exploitable coins to make a profit off of anymore. i think i am looking forward to the change.. this mining junk coins isn't working very well anymore. it seems to be less profitable every week now.

Most likely to all the altcoins hitting the market and the new hardware available to mine it faster...just like what happen to btc when asic hit the scene. Feel better soon

How do I remove an address from my wallet? I want the site to auto convert for me
To enable automatic conversion, on the left hand side, 5th button down, Convert to BTC. That is the on/off switch for it. You can still have addresses in the Wallets but you would only use them if you hold a reserve and then select a payment threshold. For example, say you wanted to hold all DOGE mined to go to your wallet, but auto convert the rest.

LTC has not auto-converted for some hours, and now DOGE appears to be stuck as well.
[Edit] DOGE is now OK, but LTC is still not converting.

Those are the only 2 coins that I care about, so I have been hoarding them. I did notice yesterday before I set my reserves for LTC I did have a balance for several hours.

LTC should resume auto trading soon. Since we never hit LTC often, it requires manual loading onto the exchange, whereas the other coins generally have enough of a stockpile for auto-refill to keep them topped up.

Some of the new ASIC scrypt miners now available are very low power so should be profitable for a reasonably long time. A Gridseed 5-chip ($80) can mine 300+kHs at 7W of power, 4W with the fan removed (scrypt only mode). With a HW mod they can go to 500kHs.

I actually cannot wait until we go to LTC and DOGE only. I've been saving up my Doge and Ltc and I'm hoping to get one last little payout before the switch with those crapcoins. I dunno...recently I've really gotten into the Doge. I've enjoyed LTC for a while now, but Doge is actually quite neat. I feel it has slightly more real world utility than BTC in terms of quick payments for food or gas, while BTC is more of an online payment / large purchase / send money to a friend across the world kinda thing.
But that's just my opinion.
So...when's the switch? Am I going to have to reset my miners to run on stratum.btcguild.com:scrypt ?
